Lifelong enthusiast, moved to Florida last year and finally purchasing pistols of my own. I have an SA XDm .45 and recently got an M&P BG380 for my wife. I am not the biggest guy(5'8"/180) and even though I wanted to carry a SA Mod 9mm or XD9, they seemed a little too big. After looking at SCCY and Keltec's PF9, I stumbled across the PM9. It fit my need to be as small as possible (concealed carry here in FL) while being a reputable brand with little issues (barring the magazine follower thing). The pistol is used with only a few hundred rounds through it and has already had one follower replaced. I'm thinking I'll just get a couple of lakeline metal followers and be done with it, unless anyone on the forum thinks I NEED to file the feed ramp.
Opinions welcome!

Stumbling on a PM9 after looking at SCCY and PF9.... sort of like stumbling on a Porsche after looking at a Chevy and a Dodge. Just sayin!
And you don't need followers, you DO NOT NEED TO FILE ANYTHING.
You need to shoot the pistol, and you need to shoot the hottest ammo you can get your hands on.
If you have problems after shooting a few hundred hot rounds...then correct 'em as needed. Don't fix something that aint broken yet
Never a problem with my CM9. My every day carry pocket pistol.
I replaced the follower with a Lakeland on my CW9 to improve function with a certain H.P. carry ammo.

The word filing gives me the shivers............................CJB was correct. Stumbling on to a PM9 after a SCCY and PF9 is like having a wonderful spaghetti sauce with garlic and wine, then having some Hunt's spaghetti sauce from the can, then having some Chef Boyardee sauce from the box. I'm sorry and don't be offended, but I wouldn't let MY wife carry a BG380 either. I owned one.....enough said. Welcome, shoot, enjoy.
