I'm all for lively discussion that is not a total free for all. This is the Kahr Talk Forum after all, and as much as jocularity and good natured banter keeps things lively, a free for all, imho, would be a detriment.

There is a fine line between lively discussion, and chaos. I think I'd be not too far from the X ring if I ventured to say that is why the politics forum was closed earlier.
