I picked up a new cm9 yesterday, slapped on a hogue and just fired 100 wwb rounds down range. No malfunctions, good groups for a small gun, and recoil was very reasnable for such a small gun. I traded my g19 for a cw9 a yr ago, and after firing the cm9 I am pretty much done with glock. What a great package! Will probably trade my cw9, the cm9 is more compact, and Im only giving up one round.
Anyway, my Little Foxx holster for my cw9 catches the slide on the cm9. The ejection port on the cm9 has that pointy hook on the front right that cw9 does not have, and it digs in. I could not draw smoothly, actually not at all! It catches on the mold.
When and why did they change the slides? Makes me worry about kydex holsters. Can anyone reccomend a good, kydex iwb holster?
PJ's makes a great kydex holster for the CM; I use mine w/CM9, IWB, daily and for competition. lots of choices and really stands behind his products.

The ejection port on the CM9 (and, to my knowledge, the PM9) has always been cut like that. I don't have my CM9 anymore to verify this again, but I seem to remember believing that the port being cut like that like that provides some extra clearance for ejecting cases and loaded rounds from the shorter slide (less travel?) pistol.
You can round that "hook" some to make it more forgiving to holsters,
Here's how I did it on the CM9 I owned:

CJB did this to his PM9:

Thanks, I was trying to post a picture. Nice job rounding that edge, mine is very pointy. Curious what other people are doing?

Both my MK9 and PM9 were/are pointy like that. I never had a problem tho. But it makes sense to ease that corner if it helps work with your holster. A good holster is hard to find. I'd hate to waste a comfortable one.
P.S. I always wondered why they don't relieve the CM45 ejection port like that? They do for the PM45?

What did you use to round your edges? It looks really good!

I rounded mine off with a flat file followed by increasingly finer sand paper. I rounded off any sharp edges. Polished the slide and barrel.

I used these:

I did some other work on that slide, so I finished by blasting it with glass bead.

I did the same. Just round it off with a flat file, then smooth with a dremmel. You will have the tool out anyway when you polish the feed ramp and the magazine.

You guys are handy. I wrote Foxx about the problem because they list the cw9/cm9 as the same holster and didnt like their reaponse. I will just use it for my cw9. I ordered two remoras for cm9. A plain one, and one with a mag holder and clip just for fun. Hopefully the hook is not a problem.
Very nice shooter. I shot it side by side with a g43 and it was softer shooting. I see a .45 on the horizon.
