View Full Version : Trouble manually ejecting a live round with a K40

My slide has no problem locking back by hand but when I try to eject a live round from the chamber it gives me trouble. It's like the port isn't big enough. There's not enough room for the extractor to flip it out. The projectile is still partially in the chamber when the slide is fully to the rear. Is this unique to my pistol or is it a known issue? Thanks in advance for any insight, Brian

It's an easy fix, most just take a bit off the back corner of the chamber hood. This gives a bit more clearance.
It also helps to eject it briskly and not gently girlyman it.
There's a thread around here someplace that discusses this in detail and includes some pictures Greg posted.
Maybe the CW45 fixes or something like that.
