View Full Version : First kahr purchase. T9
Hello everyone, I just purchased my first kahr. Merry Christmas to me. Bought an excellent condition t9. Only 50 rounds through it. 5 mags and has truglo tfo fiber optic night sights. For a good price imo. I stumbled upon this model after looking for an all metal striker fired handgun about a month ago. I prefer all metal instead of polymer, and this was one of the only few metal striker handguns that appealed to me. I read it is hard to come by as well, about 130 per year. And kahr supposedly has excellent customer service. Now the hard part is waiting for it to arrive to my ffl. Even worse is probably Christmas will push the shipping delivery date later.

Congrats on the T9, they feel great in the hand. The balance is fantastic, and the felt recoil is very light.
The only challenge is finding a good holster. Since the number made is low, many holster makers do not cover the T9.

Nice!! Does yours have wood grips?
I find a lot of holster for them no problem only problem is deciding which one as there are very nice leather holster out. Rgrizzle and whitehat is a few that be nice.

A phone call may be a good idea but I am sure you will find one. High Noon might to or they will make one for you since they say that if you dont see it listed then give them call again.
Thanks everyone. I prob won't carry the t9, so no worries about finding holster. I prefer my Sig p228. Purchased the t9 for range gun and more to have variation in my collection.

I eventually bought a holster from these folks: http://www.kirkpatrickleather.com/
Easy to work with and very nice customer service. I placed an order for a black pancake, they called and said if I could live with Brown they had one ready to go.

DeSantis makes an excellent OWB mini slide which fits T9, T40, K9, K40. I got one for my K9 and am very happy with it.

I used a holster purchased to carry my K9. The muzzle end had to be massaged a bit but this Mitch Rosen Premier holster worked very well.

It's funny. I got to the K40 down the same path. I got bored of an unending line of plastic guns, wonderful as they are, and was looking for all steel striker options.. I really want a T series but I'm trying to just shoot guns I carry for now or at least that's what I'm telling myself.
