Looks interesting.
Could a modern Python be in the works?

Interesting. I have one from the 80's. Great shooter although I seldom do anymore.
Can't wait to see one of these in person. Hope the pricing isn't too ridiculous for my side of the tracks.

"Steel frame and revised grip structure"
Naming a steel framed revolver "Cobra" is curious as the previous Cobra was an alloy frame gun.
I wonder if they tried to make this new one lighter weight by going with a stub grip structure like Ruger uses on the GP100/SP101 (hence the "revised grip structure").

Greg

I'll keep my older one and buy another Smith!

I'll keep mine too. Best shooting revolver I ever owned regardless of the short barrel. Carried this for many many years. Still in pretty decent shape.

Can't for the life of me now find the reference, but I believe Colt has hinted that this is just the first of 'more to come' with their re-erntery in to the revolver market.
The issue (for me) is - are their enough "craftsmen" left at Colt to build a revolver, other than just pushing the start switch on the CNC machine.

(CAUTION ! ! ! RANT ZONE ACTIVE)
I also have an ax to grind on Colt firearms as they are a UAW union shop, I despise unions to my very core, but being UAW, is the lowest dirt on my personal hate unions scale - I've quit two spectacular jobs because the employees thought UAW was a good move, and both businesses closed once union.
I WILL NOT purchase a gun made by union monkeys.

Especially like the extractor rod shroud. The unprotected extractor rods on older Colts always looked vulnerable to being bent although I never heard of it happening. Tired of hearing about Colt's latest "reorganization" as are their employees I bet.

They are nice. I'm waiting on user comments.

An Armscor built Colt? Not sure if I that or a K6S would be next on my list.

Armscor's revolvers look pretty nice to me.
