Picked up a CM9 for Christmas and since then have put 350 rounds through it and zero issues.

Prep:

1) First thing I did was clean it as soon as I got it. Had ton of oil and really wet. Cleaned with CLP and light lube with Hoppes.

2) I racked the slide about 50 times after cleaning. The gun was so tight (reminded me of a 1911 build) that I could barely strip it down.

3) I locked the slide back and left it in the safe overnight fully locked back. Goal was to loosen recoil spring some (YouTube tip to BulletsandBroadHeads). It felt better that next AM and took it to range for first shooting.

Range report:

Took it three days in a row and cleaned after every firing. I loaded the gun every time with the slide stop (Kahr manual) and zero issues. Shot PMC 115gr FMJ, Blazer Brass 115gr FMJ, American Eagle 147gr Flat Nose FMJ, Remington 147gr Flat Nose FMJ and Speer Gold Dot 147gr. No hiccups at all and will be buying another Kahr soon...probably the expensive brother (PM9)

Anyways, just wanted to post my experience - I'm a Glock and Beretta guy but this new first Kahr has me very impressed.

Congratulations and enjoy your new Kahr! I'm hoping to get my CM9 out to the range today or tomorrow... a great pistol.

Tight groups,

If you have, and are happy with the CM9, why buy a PM9? Get yourself another caliber instead!

CM9 if perfect for me in the pocket. Small, not too small. Sensible caliber. Well thought-out trigger system. Hits where it is pointed.

I'd get a TP 9 to compliment that baby 9.

I went from a CM9 a few years ago, added a K9 NYCPD turn in that rattled it was so loose, sold it, missed it, got another K9 but in black, liked it so much got a MK9.

You might like a steel Kahr if you can stand the few extra ounces for carry, they are more fun to shoot (for me). CM9 is every day carry still. In the car console if not on the belt.
