I'm new to the forum seen. But a few days ago I picked a used cm9 up from the local gun shop. I just put 200 rounds through it total (150 124gr magtech fmj and 50 124gr federal hst hollow points. I forgot mention before I shot it went through the gun cleaned and lubed it. I used 4 different magazines two 6 round clips and two seven round clips. The gun ran flawless until about 180 some rounds then I had just one FTE on a federal hst 124gr. It happened on a seven round clip about three shots into the clip. I think the gun was getting pretty dirty by this point but then I ran another 30 hollow points through with no problem. Do you think it could of been just a fluke? Like to here your thoughts.

Could be number things that might have caused it. Keep shooting it more. I highly recommend the 147/150gr in these micro pistols.

I ended up finding a broken magazine follower in the one 7 round magazine when cleaning gun. Would that cause the FTE to happen?

Sure! Mag spring pressure assists in cartridge ejection, pushing the spent casing up and out with the following round or follower, if no rounds are left. May have found your problem.

Received my followers from Lakeline and they work very well. Welcome to the site and good shooting with your CM9.

I received my followers also and they are a must upgrade I think. I also added a talon grip and love the feel of the gun now.
^ Amazing how sometimes a small change in grip texture completely changes the feel of the pistol. My Kahr's are now naked, after the rubber inner-tubes split off. They are fine either way. ^^++ on the Lakeline followers for my CW9 and CW45.
I never liked the feel of my 40 S&W Shield until I used the Talon granular grips.

Talon grips adequate a huge difference for me. Gun was good before now it's one of those guns I may never sell
