Hi everybody. at the age of 61, I'm in the process of getting my CCW permit. After much research, I just purchased my first concealable handgun, a CM9. I'm still breaking it in, but 125 rounds so far without a problem. I'm very pleased with my choice!
I'm also considering a CW380, for pocket carry.

I have a PM9 and a CW380. The nine has been perfect, but had a few problems with the first 100 rounds in the 380. If you get a 380 make sure you follow the new Kahr prep and lube stickies on this site. They do help. The 9s seem to be a lot less finicky. I love them both and carry the 380 more than the nine due to weight and size. I do shoot the 9 better though. Welcome and have fun.

Howdy from Hickory. Had my permit for a number of years now. I am your Senior by 9 years.
It took 5 weeks to get my permit. I understand it is quite a bit longer now.
For years the CM9 has been my every day carry pistol. I still work, mostly on my feet all day. If sitting, the CM9 fits nicely on belt or ankle carry. For me the CM9 is the perfect pocket pistol.

Hey Tony. Welcome to the forum. I'm down near Lake Wylie. I have a CW380 with a Crimson Trace, and it's a great little pocket gun. Works extremely well for summer carry in NC, and the XTP bullets pack a nice punch. The CM9 is an excellent small 9. Since I already use the CW380 for pocket carry, I went with a Walther PPS 9mm and a Walther PPQ 45 for winter carry. The CM9, though, is so much lighter and smaller than even the PPS. There is something to be said for having the same operation for your carry pistols, so a CM9 and CW380 make a great pair.
