Ok, This is the last one and then I'll disapear for a while.
These are my Marlin 1894's one in a 1995 .38/.357 and the other a 1975 .44 mag.
Years back I installed Williams FP receiver rear sights and Marble orange f.o. fronts. They're both sighted in at 100 yds.
Then I decided they were losing their accuracy. The front sights were getting old and fuzzy.
So I mounted red dots on them. The dots I found on line only cost $40.00 ea. and they are holding up.They have on / off buttons and intensity adjustments
Problem was sitting on a scope base they sat to high for a cheek weld.
So I found some Weaver T09 scope bases for Ruger 1022's which are the lowest I think there are.
The bases is concave, so I sanded them down flat until when mounting the red dots on them, the dot clamps were just short of touching the receiver top.
Another note is the screw holes of these bases lie up with the holes on the Marlin receiver They just need to be drill out a little bigger
The I filed a slot across the base using a chain saw file
I'll never have a cheek weld, but I do have a jaw weld.
NAH ! I had nothing better to do
