Not a lot here on the CW40 here. I had a K40 a long time ago and I miss it. Pricey they are.
So I am looking at a CW40.
I have recently fired a Shield in 40 so I am not worried about recoil
Anybody have advice on the CW40.
Have heard good and bad.
Is Kahr customer service and warranty good?
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum. There are a lot of knowledgeable people and loads of info here on the forum. Kahr Customer Service is very good and I've had great experiences with them.

I'm on my 2nd P40... got a deal on a black one, so I sold my SS Mag-na-ported P40 and then bought the Kahr ported barrel... available for the CW40, too. I put Trijicon night sights on the P40 and it's my main carry.

I like the P/CW40 size... perfect fit and I replaced the polymer magazine base for the steel ones and added an O-ring... 3/32" by 3/4" ID... to stop pinching.

I switched to the Remington 180-gr Golden Sabers for defensive ammo... best performer in the Lucky Gunner Testing.

Kahr advises 200 rounds for break in... best with new factory ammo to see if there are gun problems, not ammo testing as well.

A CW should be a great pistol. I like the size and carry an extra mag in a Kydex holder on the opposite side. I have Glocks, but they are too thick for IWB carry for me.

Wynn :)

Yep. Had a K40 and loved it. I have a P40 now and it's just as great and a little lighter. +1 on the Golden Sabers. Been carrying those for awhile. I carry in a Dean IWB or a Winthrop OWB slide. Welcome.

I use the CrossBreed MiniTuck that I bought for my PM9. The K9, P9, P40, PM45, AND the P45 all fit in the same holster... all except the P380. :D

I only have the P's left now... lighter and just the right size.

Wynn :)

I have a CW40 and it's my EDC. I did the extractor mod that is in a sticky for the 380s and it feeds everything, even Fiocchi, reliably now. Yours may not need it. Great gun, very accurate for a combat piece. I use a DeSantis Softuk IWB holster.

Love my P40, have had zero issues. 200 rounds and counting.

Welp. I just ordered it.

I think you'll like it. I had one and it was just about my most accurate Kahr. I only sold it because I bought a CW45 which is only a bit larger, and I prefer the 45 ACP round.

Well I just picked up the new CW40 and am extremely happy and impressed.
Pulled it out of the box and put 50 rounds of Federal RTP 165 through it. Perfect reliability and very accurate. Not one issue.
This is a keeper. Very pleased. Will be CCW with this guy.

Good report.

Break in period? What break in period.

My PM45 was the same way. 350 rounds out of the box, no errors.

Thanks for the little ray of sunshine on a cold winter day.

Where would I find the sticky on the extractor mod for the CW380?

More good stuff. Went to the range again and tried out some Federal HST 165s and it was flawless. Put another 75 rounds downrange and again, flawless. This baby is ready to to.
Also ordered some Talon Grips and a nice kydex Comp Tac IWB holster. I will be switching between this and my Glock 43 for EDC.
Loving this Kahr.
I also really am liking the bar dot sights. Not easy to find them for other pistols. Only things I see are Heinie straight eights or XS Systems.
Guess I will have to buy another Kahr soon. Hmmmm.

The one Bawanna posted is good, but this is the one I used. The video helps when field stripping.
