You have my respect,
I bought a guy in my gun club's reloading stuff from his widow when he past, and it included everything needed for casting...
But never tried it as I was concerned about lead and my health, and thought anything involving me and molten metal would require emergency room visits.
I even bought a bottom pour electric pot but never used it, and sold the luber/sizer press to a friend.
I have recently switched to coated/powder coated bullets that I have found to be way less smokey, and my guns/hands stay way cleaner, compared to traditional cast/lubed bullets.
Have you considered powder coating?
just askin'

Hey Tilos glad you chimed in, as far as powdered bullets it gets going in another direction. They still need to be sized, so with my set up the second they are sized the wax is going in the grove and you need the wax to lube the die. I do the best I can as far as the lead is concerned, have a outdoor vent fan that sets over to my melt pot, and always wear gloves and anytime I handle the bullets bare hand I wash my hands. I don’t have any guns that require to have powder coat, though I have heard powder coated is safe for polygonal barrels. Plus I do believe that powder coating requires an electric oven which we don’t have. Don’t worry buddy I’m being as safe with this as possible, MaMa didn’t raise no fool. And yeah I shoot a lot:)

Electric oven? Heck you ought to be able to make one of them with spare parts around the shop. I'm tired of your lame excuses Mr.:D

Sounds like you have the health hazards covered :yo:

I most recently bought coated bullets without lube grooves so I can use a Hornady bullet feeding die.
I push all the bullets I buy thru Lee sizing dies, with the added bonus of only buying 38 bullets for both 38 and 9mm.
I buy at .358 dia and just push them thru a .356 die for 9mm.

The go to oven for powder coat is a toaster oven ($20-$30 tops) and we all know what cheap bastages reloaders are .

They use some airsoft BBs with the bullets/powder coat, and swirl that around in a capped piece of PVC pipe to create the static to stick the powder to the bullets.
Way too involved for me...

Every reloader needs to buy at least 500 Hi-Tek coated bullets just to see how slippery they are, and they shoot like jacketed for the cost of lubed lead...without the smoke.
:D
