About 1200 rounds through 1 year old P45. Various types and brands FMJ and JHP 124 OOPs meant 230gr(thanks kenemoore), fails to feed from full magazine. Happens every time on my one 7 rnd mag and every 2nd or third time with both of my 6 rounders all are Kahr parts. I kept trying thinking it was a break-in thing. I've cleaned and deburred the mags and put springs in so the long side is to the front, they were varied. So last November I sent it to Kahr. After 3.5 weeks they called and said no problem found. Went to the range put in an empty mag to lock the slide then racked slide using the slide release fired from the 7 mag it went bang and the 2nd round was jammed. Dropped the mag and pulled the slide to let the round drop out. I was able to go through a couple of the 6's before they both jammed. Back to Kahr again no problem found so they reamed the barrel and sent it back. At the range I put 119 rounds through it with the 7 rnd mag jamming every time and the sixes acting as usual. Filled out return request on line 2 weeks ago and no response. Sent another request Monday, no response. Called them yesterday and was told that the website has been acting up and to e-mail concerns to service@kahr.com did so and no response yet should hear back today. What do you guys think? A gun that works on the East coast but not on the West (Im a little South of San Diego). I just want it fixed so I can trade it in but this company is OK with a nonfunctioning website maybe that's the way they are with their guns.

Just trade the gun back and purchase another one. I have had several issues with Kahrs over a few years. Some are great and others are, well, awful. I am sure others will balk at what I am telling you but when you purchase a firearm it is expected to work. Period! Get a gun that works and you are happy with and move on.

Sounds like you work for Kahr

I think you misunderstood his post. He said get a "gun" you like, not a "Kahr" you like.

And I meant that he sounded like Kahr's attitude toward fixing my gun. I have other 45s and know they can be near perfect. My Sig P220 hasn't missed a beat and my Sig 1911 will eat anything. I would have gotten a P320 but Calif won't let them in. I got the Kahr to carry around the house. I may leave my comfort zone and get some thing in 380 or 9mm probably ruger. But I need the kahr to work to trade it in. I do thank you for your response.

You could let another shooter try it. The Kahr is smaller and lighter than a Sig P220 and a Sig 1911 and will be much more susceptible to having a firm hold for cycling. It may be it works fine for other shooters and is just not a fit for your shooting style.

I'll do that on my next range trip. Not sure that I grip it different on the 1st round or 2, the fails are only from a full magazine.

In the OP's post he mentions 124JHP, are we talking about a P45 or something else? Never ran across a 45ACP of that weight before.

My mistake - all rounds are 230 gr. JHP and FMJ and a few old G.I. ball. Good catch kenemoore. I'll correct. OK done. Kahr didn't respond to my e-mail and it's 7pm EST. Will call them again tomorrow is their CS always this bad?

Theyve gotten about 18" of snow today with temps in the single digits and gusts over 30 I believe... they probably closed early...just a guess.

Thanks topgun, I'll cut them some slack. We hit 78 today with the wind chill.

And I think Kahr has your attitude.

I sell unreliable weapons for the best price that I can get and quickly replace them. My case in point was two Sig P238s.

Kahr changed their mind about my sending them video of the fails phone to phone. I couldn't add them as an attachment as the files were too big and I'm not too up on computer stuff. Sent the vid last Fri and still no response.
