Is it a Kahr T series pistol that detective Danny Reagan carries in the Blue Blood series ? If so, it doesn't seem right. As far as I know NYPD officers buy their own guns, and can choose from three options: The Glock 19 w/ the N.Y. trigger, the DAO S&W 5946 and Sig P226
Also after NYPD asked Kahr to increase the trigger pull weight because of claimed a.d.'s, and Kahr said it couldn't, Kahr K9's were taken off the allowed off duty carry list. Possibly with exception to those officers grandfathered in

Whether right or not, Danny's dad is the commish and who's going to risk their career by "leaning" on Danny?

Could they keep them for their personal collection?

I'm pretty sure it's a K9 as well. It also may have been filmed from an earlier period when they were allowed.

Detectives often times get a little leeway and some just downright don't follow the rules too.

NO, they have a form used in NYPD shows who had them and all needed to be gone.
I know for 2 reasons
1) My buddy flys NYPD Choppers
2) I bought his and he explained it to me.

Clearly a Chopper Jock doesn't use/draw his side arm very often. The k 9 was very clean made in 2001 September, do not know the exact day, however.

Enjoy the view...

It's a TV show. They can use whatever they like. Bet that K9 mag holds 20 rounds too.

My guess is that Donnie Wahlberg uses it for his character because he's a Boston guy and Kahr is made in Worchester, MA. Only my wild guess of a theory, but in my mind it makes sense.

Having been born and raised in NYC, for us. the excavation is a sight that still makes us angry. When the planes flew into the Twin Towers we were loading up the motorcycle for a vacation trip down south to NV. / AZ. I got a call telling me to turn on T.V. What it looked to me was a small aircraft flying into the building. Little did I know. We started to tear up.

When the buildings started to collapse I thought charges had been placed on different floors. I felt they were indestructible

Those buildings were built in the early / mid seventies. I worked in them while being constructed. IIRC they had a center steel girded back bone and I'll call them wings for the floors coming out from the center. When I was there there were only concrete slab floors and know outside walls as yet

We go back to NYC about every year. Here's what some of Ground Zero looks like now.

The new tower viewed from the Staten Island ferry

Ladder Co. 10 That was at Ground Zero

The Reflection Pool at one tower sight

The massive Train Station built under another sight

And, LOL, a sight we don't miss during rush hour

I'm not afriad to say "I HATE MUSLIM TERRORISTS "

OK, back on topic. We took the S.I. ferry to Manhattan from S.I. just about every day. It was about a 30 min trip.
Got to talk with some NYPD officers. They have time on their hands as the ferry travels back and forth. One cop in particular had an interest in firearms. I told him what we carried back home, and he showed us covertly, what he carried as a bug.

It was a PM9 with Speer 124 G.D.s Go figure !

I don't know how to take that.
Other then it's political leanings it's a place for a learning / cultural experience. Remember it raised itself out of the ashes in a very short time with help from around the country, and else where.
There, most things get done right the first time and fast, or else
In Oregon the motto is "We'll get it right next time"

Nothing to do with politics.

It's people-too many.
Buildings- too tall.

I'm a guy whose ulcers and IBS flair up just going to the airport at Sea Tac.
These downtown hospital trips for my wife take years off my life with every trip.

I can get learning and cultural experience from a book or a visit with you in Oregon or given our recent political issues perhaps Wyoming or Montana.

Just can't handle crowds or traffic.

It's really no big deal. You learn to walk sideways through the crowds

Not me. I was only east of the Mississippi one time when we crossed the bridge into Illinois for catfish supper on time with my grandparents.
They are gone, no need to cross that river again.

Well I would like to visit Wynn and a few other members on that end of the continent so I guess I should never say never, but highly improbable still applies.
