Just purchased a used CM9 for a great price, I'll be picking it up over the weekend. I consider myself a smith and wesson guy(I EDC a shield 45) and I have a safe full of smiths... but I love the look and feel of the CM9. What is some good ammunition for these guns? I use hornady critical defense in my shield, and I shoot WWB at the range. Break-in time? Querks? Any info from seasoned or newby CM9 owners would be great... thank you! Oh and the guy who I bought it from claims to have only put about 100 rounds through it, and judging by appearance I believe him...

I have had zero failures with all of the FMJ and JHP ammo I have used in my CM9. It includes WWB, Herter's, Federal, Blazer Brass, Hornady, etc. Be sure to read the break-in information in the owners manual, as well as this post: http://www.kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?1521-Proper-prep-of-a-new-kahr
I hope you like your new gun as well as I like mine!
No problems with any practice ammo or JHP in my CM9. Even cheap Monarch aluminum cases work. Practice, what ever is on sale. Carry= Federal HST.

My CM9 has eaten everything I've fed it without a problem of any kind for the last 3 years. However, I only shoot brass.

In my experience, the CM9 isn't so much ammo particular as it is MAGAZINE particular. Make absolutely certain when you load a fresh magazine that the top round hasn't started to ease out and nose down due to the hump in the followers. It will often jam nose down against the bottom of the barrel's feed ramp.

My cm9 shoots everything well. Fmj and all defensive loads from Hornady, Federal, and Gold Dots so far. I have probably 1000+ rounds through mine and never a bobble.
20 oz. loaded and fits the front pocket well.

My CM9 has been perfect 250 rounds. Ate all that I have fed it hornady XTP, 124 golden sabers, carry HST tactical 147 grains. Very accurate once I go used to the trigger after about round 25. Constantly in my pocket

P.S. - I found that a rubberized Traction Grip made the gun MUCH easier to grip and handle. I also like the Pearce Grip mag extensions for my pinky finger.
I've run Federal Aluminum case,115 gr. almost exclusively during IDPA matches in my CM9, about 3-4000, without a problem; S.D. ammo is Critical Defense 115 gr.

My CM9 shoots Hornady 124 XTP with no trouble and it has shot my reloads as well as 115, 124 and 147 grain, ever what I have put in it. I do shoot mostly 124 gr tho. Great pistol I think!
