Hi, I’m Ray from San Diego California and just recently purchased my first handgun, a brand new Kahr P380 (w/ LCI).
It was a very well thought out decision while I patiently waited almost a year for it to go on sale. As soon as I saw it in an ad from Turner’s, I made the trip, showed up 10 minutes before they opened, and started the process right away. I took the Firearm Safety Certificate test while they started on all the paperwork. One hour later, I was all done walking out with the… receipt. :)
So in the meantime during the state’s 10 day waiting period, I’ve been soaking up information from the forums, YouTube videos, and reading the manual. I’m looking forward to learning more from fellow owners here.

Welcome from Phoenix AZ! Did the same 10 day wait and handgun safety test when I lived in NorCal (Bay Area).

Hello and welcome from the free state of Idaho.
I can not imagine how I'd handle life as a caged animal - enjoy your new gun and welcome (again)

Had just gotten home from the range today when I read your post. Reminds me how glad I am to be living in the free state of Arkansas. Feel for you guys for sure. Congratulations for wading through the "Red" tape. When you get it take it out and enjoy it.
Welcome.

Thanks for the welcomes! It’s great to hear that there are still a lot of places in America where constitutional rights are not infringed. Please stay vigilant and preserve them. Yes, it’s tough in California, but there are a still lot of us who call this state home that continue to fight for our constitutional rights and traditional American values that made this country great.
Day 10 just came around and after 10 minutes of more paperwork and a dozen more signatures, I was allowed to take it home. I posted up the pictures here: http://www.kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?30324-New-Owner-of-California-Approved-Kahr-P380

Nice pictures Ray! Nice looking gun you got there! I have never had any issues with the Fiocchi or Federal, in .380 ACP, but have not had the chance to pick up and shoot any Armscor .380 ACP. Let us know how all three of those brands run for you. :D

Hi Ray, a late welcome! I lived in SD, off and on for 20 years, starting off in OB where I rented a room in the late 80s, a block from the beach for $150 and junior college classes were $3.00 a credit. Later when I became more sophisticated, I moved up to MB, PB, LJ, Del Mar, settling in Cardiff. <3 Swamis and Cardiff Reef..and miss those things every day. I'm back in the Midwest right now but plan another westward ho, in a few whiles. Looking forward to the saltwater, fresh air and food that's not all fried, not that there's anything wrong with a good tenderloin sammich..
