Hi, new here.
Have a new CM9 on order from my lgs. Pretty stoked!
I like to get by with as little gear as possible. Looking for suggestions for a combination IWB/pocket holster. All suggestions welcome.
Thanks in advance.
Please accept my apology if this is covered in another thread.

A Remora and a Kahr are a great combo. Both inexpensive but quality. The remora does everything, but is not the best at any one, but pretty awesome for $25.

I just ordered a Boraii pocket holster/trigger guard for $20.

For pocket carry I think the recluse is the best of breed. But I'm too cheap.

A Sticky holster can also work for IWB or pocket carry. Maybe not quite the quality of the Remora but works well and is a little bit thinner.

I agree that the Remora can do both, but it's not the best at either IWB (just OK), or pocket carry (better). This is how many of us wind up with a box of "extra" holsters.

To have one holster that does both pocket and IWB is just asking too much, IMO. My suggestion is to get one for each method of carry. Do it right, and do it once.

I like the DeSantis Nemesis for pocket carry. Easy draw and very comfortable, but it does look like a gun is in your pocket. Kydex isn't quite as comfortable, but it looks like you have a phone or wallet in your pocket.

Depending on attire, I use pocket carry, IWB, or OWB for my CM9. All 3 holsters are kydex. Yeah this is a more expensive way to go, but it optimizes performance for each method of carry - YMMV.

I'm a big fan of C3 Tactical for my kydex holster needs. Chris is nice to deal with, his prices are pretty reasonable, and workmanship is excellent. Lifetime guarantee, and free shipping as well. He gets your order out quick, too.

I would agree with Ed, you need more than one. Plus one is no fun.

People like Pj holsters in here, they make both.

Really depends on on how often and serious you carry. If I had a job where I wore all day, I'd go cross breed and a recluse for pocket carry and call it a day. But I'm rarely out for more than an hr or two and have other gun/holsters.

Agree with everybody^^^.
I every day carry a Kahr CM9 in front pocket. I use either a DeSantis, or an inexpensive gun show holster using 2 pieces of rough-out leather sewn together. Both work well. The Desantis does not cover the rear sight which rubs the pants pocket lining.
PJ Kydex holster disappears on the belt. A unique design where holster and clip are one piece.
My Remora holster is used the least. It also comes in a "kit" which contains an ankle holster. I never use it, my Telortactical.com ankle is much more comfortable.
Outbags holsters.com makes a great cheap holster ($16.00 I believe). Fabric with a Ulticlip. That is my favorite appendix carry holster.

Oh, maybe I should have mentioned that I'm left-handed.
Also, besides for being frugal, a dual-purpose holster let's me switch carry locations while in the field.
And it's one fewer piece of gear to keep track of.
Pocket is likely to be my preferred carry.
Thanks for the helpful advice so far!

I agree that wanting a holster that does both pocket and IWB well is asking too much.

I only IWB, and the Cooks Holsters all kydex with belt clip is the answer.

I am partial to leather pocket holsters and a magazine pouch for spare mag. Check the holsters from hedleyholsters.com Lisa produces some nice holsters with a good guarantee for satisfaction. Her father ( RJ) was a excellent leather smith before passing with cancer. Try one, you might like it. 😀

High Noon tuckable for IWB, and Desantis nemesis for pocket. And one of these, she's a freak!!!!!!!!

You could try the Desantis Pocket Tuk, it's a 2 in 1 combo holster.
It's a decent IWB, but I prefer the Nemisis for pocket carry.

I've had good results pocket carry with an Elite combo. Inexpensive, separate pieces for the CM9 & one spare magazine. I usually carry the pistol in my front left pocket; the mag pouch in my back pocket.

Hi, folks. Thank you very much for your suggestions! I will definitely consider all. The Pocket Tuck and Elite combo have some strong appeal, and I'll take a close look at it. I ended up with an Uncle Mike's for now. It's doing the job well enough for $10. Got it from W******t the day I picked up the piece when I stopped in to get some stuff to feed it.
BTW, straight out of the box, the CM9 had one hiccup at ##75: a failure to lock back at end of magazine. Speaking of magazines, the Uplula speed loader makes range time soon much better!
I'll add another thread with more detail about my initial impressions, including a photo of a cosmetic defect on the outside of the slide.
