Flawless!
Very happy. Thanks to jocko and others with the prep tips, worked very well. Went bang everytime. 150 rounds.
I'm shooting a little low. Not used to dotting the " i ". Perhaps when I get my 3 dot Mepro night sights I'll be dead center. Is this common for someone not used to dotting the "i" type sights on the Kahr?

I have to cover the target with my PM9 & my P380 or they will shoot low. No 6 oclock holds.

What do you mean by "cover the target" and "6 o'clock hold" ???

Cover the target is align the sights so you don't see the point of impact. 6 oclock is putting where you want to impact on top of the front sight.
Target sights are usually the latter, combat sights generally cover the target.
Course it depends on the gun and the shooter.
XS Big Dots are usually set up to cover under 15 yards or so, then 6 oclock out beyond that.

Thanks. Those are interesting techniques I'll be mindful of next time at the range. This is the first pistol I've owned where it's dot the i, like Sig I understand.
I was planning on getting the 3 dot Mepro night sights anyway, mabe I'll do better with that set up I'm more used to.

So. after all of this talk, conjecture and preparation, I'm now an official certifiable Kahr believer.
As Wynn always says to a newcomer, "Welcome to the asylum."
Well, I'm a permanent asylum dweller now.

Well thats good. I'm waiting to hear reports on that Para you got coming. I have one and I think you'll love it to pieces. The CZ is on my list as well but I'm undecided for sure on which one I want. It's still in the research and development stage. IE: waiting for the piggy bank to refill.
I can't believe you got 2 in the works at once. LUCKY!

use a center hold as folks are saying. 6 o'clock holds will shoot a few inches low

I can't believe you got 2 in the works at once. LUCKY!I've been saving my pennies and finally figured out the four pistols I'd really like! I'm gonna sell the overly intense G23 and go with everybody else you see below. Nice variety? Never owned a .45ACP ever, I'm 45 now, I figure, what the heck? Never owned a world class 9mm competition pistol, what da heck? Two words....Buds rocks!
Love my Kahr P9, went bang everytime from #1.
G27, with Hornady Critical Defense 165 grain. Couldn't feel safer anywhere I go.

I'm shooting a little low.
The point of aim and the point of impact are dependent on the distance at which you are shooting. Many modern guns are sighted to the standard 25 yard, or meters.
At what distance did you shoot?
The question to ask when shooting a brand new gun and especially a new sight system is what groupings did you shoot? Sights can be adjusted, but the group size tells you how accurate the gun is.

Sights can be adjusted, but the group size tells you how accurate the gun is.That's what surprises me, I was shooting from about 7 or 8 yards, I'd say. Consistently shooting low groupings. The group size was not too large, so like you said, that supports the idea that the gun itself is accurate...... :(
Not bragging, but with the Glocks I'm pretty much dead center from the same distance. Do you have any shooting tips/techniques beyond the excellent ones given earlier?
I've really got to study and focus. I don't like shooting low with my newly acquainted and already loved Kahr. What's your feeling on perhaps the long Kahr trigger pull (that I'm not used to) pulling the barrel down just a little bit right before I let off?

I've bought several guns from Buds and never a problem. Seems everytime I order they are moving or it's a holiday or something. Not good for my patience but they got em and I get em. That's the main thing.
Your gonna love that 45 immensely. I have the 14-45 LDA, the 7-45 Limited and a CCW. Little, full size single stack and jumbo double stack. Add Tiny the PM45 into the mix and what use do I have for anything else. I just got a HI Power to show that I'm not prejudice against 9mm's. You gotta love a HI Power...

Bawanna, I thought I'd be good to go with 2 carry guns to choose from. The G27 and the Kahr P9. But I'll admit, there's a little something in me that might like a carry .45ACP in the line up.
I held a G36 for the first time on Monday and it was love at first hold. Just fits PERFECTLY in my hand.
Perhaps in the near future, I may be deciding between the G36, CW45, P45 and PM45.
Please tell me about your carry .45 experiences. Have you ever fired the G36? Nice 1911 carry guns? Love your PM45 the best, huh?

I owned a 36 for awhile and a 30, and a 26, and a 27 for awhile and they were all nice. The beauty of Glock is they are eveywhere. They all look exactly alike and while they run perfectly out of the box to me they have no style. I can get one locally at LE price anytime I want so there's no real love affair and I'm not all broke up if I sell one or give one away which I've done for officers a few times. They needed it more than me I guess. Recently I was tormented with choosing either another 36 or the PM45. There were issues with the little PM's so I was kind of stalling. When I couldn't wait no longer I just went with the PM. It's just got a better look, feels smaller and shoots nice too.
I carried a compact Para 1911 LDA for a long time and then got a full size which I shot better, so I started carrying the full size all the time and still do. I have a couple Colt 1911's that I love but I'm just not confident enough with myself to carry with the hammer back. I do and I have before but I just like a little more margin for error trigger that the LDA gives me, like the PM also.
Dietrich here recently went the other way and got the 36. Last I heard he really liked it alot too so guess they are both good options.

Well, my impetuous self just got back from Buds, and after alot of thought and consideration, went ahead and pulled the trigger on the G36!
I got one with night sights for only $50.00 more.
I know, it seems I'm on a gun buying frenzy, but hey, you only live once and that G36 was just calling my name the other day in the store. Slim is in.
I'll go ahead and add it to my list down below. As always, I appreciate your perspective and experience.

You don't mess around, I'll give you that. I can't imagine what it would be like to buy 3 new guns nearly all at once.
It's like your not married? Or if you are does she have any sisters, preferrably rich sisters
I did acquire mostof what I got as a single guy way back, actually 25 years ago next tuesday. But I shouldn't complain, I've acquired quite a few more since then too. I guess I shouldn't be too jealous.

That's 4 new guns my friend. The Kahr P9 is new to me as well, picked it up 8-4-10
You're right, I'm single! I figure I'll get 'em now before I meet that special lady who says, OK, that's enough guns...

I suppose I married the right gal, I know she is the right one for me..
Anyway I convinced her to get a handgun for her to carry, I had already checked out a Walther PPKs and thought it would do nicely for her. She didn't care for the PPKs which I suppose was a price thing and she got an S&W Sigma instead. Soon as we got home with it I asked here where she was gonna hide that Sigma to which she replied I guess I gotta get another gun... She settled on a kahr CW9 which I liked so much I traded for a K9 which she liked so much I hadda get her a K9 as well. Then perusing another forums swap n sell I find a Remington 870 for less than $200. So I bought it to which she said ok thats enough guns. Alas a second Ruger Old Army just happened to show up somewhere at a price I couldn't resist so that one came home, to which she said ok seriously thats enough. Then there was that Marlin 22YN and yet another 870 and then a BAR in 30-06 (traded the Sigma for that one). Then a muzzleloading SxS 12 guage and a 50 cal rifle in flintlock. To which I get the ok I am serious now that is enough... Took her to the gun shop the other day and she listened to the guy telling a prospective customer about some handguns she might want and the wife says I liked what he said I might have to get one of those.. to which I replied, yes those lightweights are nice to carry but think about the recoil at the range, your CW is bad enough now imagine something as light or lighter and in 357 with those Buffalo Bore rounds you shot last range trip (I'm trying to convince her to buy herself a Ruger GP 100 or an SP101 so I can have my revolver back...).

Just picked up my CZ and I only can say one word.......WOW!
The pictures just don't do it justice. it is so much nicer in person. And the CZ and my hand are a perfect match!
I think they may have mistakenly given me the "high polished" version of Stainless steel as a way to make up for being 2 days late with shipping it. That version is more $. It's certainly nice to look at! I don't mind how shiny it is because this is not my primary HD or carry pistol, it's strictly for shooting pleasure at the range.
Can't wait to see how accurate this beauty is!
