Calling a time out!!! How did we get here? What's happening to us as a society?
What's sacred anymore? How freaking sad!

Sick people do sick things. If a person wants to quit living, don't take the innocent with you.
Those little kids will be scarred for the rest of their lives. I hope the murderer is burning in Hell right alongside OBL, Hitler, Tim McVeigh, and all those ISIS scumbags.

We used to put sickos in institutions. Now we change our culture and our laws to make their behavior "normal."

Putting sicko's away can be a very slippery slope. Sanity to me is not an exact science and most shrinks I've met (never been on a couch myself) seem to need their own services.
I believe we all have crazy genes. On any given day it wouldn't be difficult to slip over the line into whacko or sicko.
The vast majority of us, sometimes even myself included is we control that and don't cross the line.
The big downfall with regards to firearms and my arch nemesis mental health checks for gun transfers is it's not that difficult to declare another person as a wacko. Remember they tried to pin that on all military personnel not very long ago.
Divorces is another one that can twist anxiety and heartbreak into a he's a nut job in the blink of an eye.
I don't have a lot of faith in the mental health industry. Another money grabber, justify our existence organization.
Oooooo a squad just came back, I'm gonna go lick the windows.

The bleeding hearts tell us, if just one innocent person is convicted and executed by mistake, that's too many. But they never say, if just one innocent person is killed by a sicko, that's too many. I don't know the answer, but we seem to have swung too far the wrong direction. Preventing murder shouldn't be trumped by fear of offending sickos.

This protect at all costs mentality has woven into many common daily activities. Want to buy cold medicine? Some people use cold meds to make meth so I cant run into a store and buy some cold medicines. I have to get a voucher then go to the pharmacist and ..... Another? Used to be spray paint cans were under lock and key here in Kali. Why? Some people would sniff the fumes to get high so I have to wait for someone to unlock the display and could only get as limited amount of cans at one time. Classic examples of what JohnR is saying. The few making things convoluted for the many. Heck, I haven't even brought up the debacles with guns from the sick few who do bad things with them and make gun ownership for the majority a nightmare.

The sickos who do bad things with guns aren't too worried. Our lib society wants to punish the gun not the sicko. Put the gun in jail and all will be well.

Worse, they want to punish the non-sick gun owners. The criminals and sickos ignore the law, rendering it pointless.

World advanced development of the Human Species has peaked and is now receding back to the animal mentality where it all started. Survival of the fittest is no longer necessary. It doesn't matter if the unfit bring everyone down to their level. As we make more deviations of society legal, more deviates will demand that they be included. It's all downhill from here. Life as we have known it will be changed forever to a lower level.

So true. This guy had a record of violence and arms violations according to the news. My total run in with the law was 1 traffic ticket 30 years ago. Yet he was walking around as free as I am. Hard to understand.
