I had another sad day at the range with my PM9. It fired the first round and then the trigger just gave easily producing only a very soft click. I pulled it twice more and on the third time it fired. After every subsequent round the trigger woud have little resistance and I could only feel the same soft click. After two to three trigger pulls the gun would fire normally.

This hapened before but I thought I would do some investigating before posting here. I have tried three kinds of ammunition and every time had the same problem. I did a full detail strip of the slide and thoroughly cleaned every part and found no evidence of wear on anything. The gun has less than 200 rounds.

Any ideas what would cause the trigger to only produce a "click" and on repeated pulls finally fire?

Thanks for any help, I'm afraid I will have to send this one in. I'm sad as this gun has never failed me at all in the past and has always been trusted for carry duty.

Sounds like the trigger bar and trigger aren't communicating properly. Maybe a trigger bar spring or the trigger bar itself. I expect you'll have to send her back and get it looked at. That's not an area the average guy wants to dig in and mess with.
We've heard of this a few times here so it's not unheard of. A call to Eion not sure of the spelling at kahr should get you aimed in the right direction.
200 rounds is hardly enough rounds to earn your trust but if it's been flawless I guess it would be close.

Let us know how it shakes out for ya.

Thanks for the reply. I know it isn't a high mileage gun but I have trusted it because no matter what load I use from cheap russian stuff to any design of hollow point I've put in there has been not a single jam.

Sounds like a keeper. These things are not terribly ammo sensitive and I'm glad yours likes everything. Hopefully they can get your trigger issue fixed and back in it's rightful place.
Should be a fairly quick turn around or at least they have been lately based on what we hear.

I need to read what I write, my fingers are faster than my brain. I meant to say not ammo sensitive rather than what I typed. My BAD!
