Went to the gun store and the guy there sold me strike hold. He said it would work for my kahr but he also seemed distracted. Has anyone used this and of so any pointers? I'm worried about it getting on the plastic like part of my gun will this harm my gun?

What do the instructions say??????????????? Only one way to find out. Use it. I tend to stay away from anything that's not just oil for my lubrication. A bit of grease on certain firearms. Good old Hoppes #9 for cleaning.

I had to look it up, never heard of it before. Sounds like it's similar to LPS or WD 40, that type of thing.

I lean towards solvent or a dedicated cleaner followed by oil or grease.

Doesn't look like this stuff would hurt anything. Ad shows a guy using it exclusively on his AR with no issues so it's probably perfectly safe for polymer etc.

Should work.
