I've been on the lookout for one of these small, lightweight fun machines for a while now. Waiting for the price to drop below $600. Got a call today that one of these unicorns had landed in my local gun shop. I already have the pistol and it has been bunches of fun and reliable. So here she is, waiting to be cleaned and sent to the range for a test, the poor man's MP7... my very own CMR-30. How much fun can you pack into a tiny carbine? We'll find out.

BTW, thanks for starting this thread! It reminded me that I haven't had my PMR-30 out in quite some time.
We remedied that today :)
Here's my better half putting some V-max through it:

12 oz. plastic, soda bottles as they are pretty easy to police up after we're done.

Went to my local indoor range today to se how the CMR performs. I loaded 3 mags with 40 gr. CCI for the carbine and 2 mags of 30 gr. V-max CCI for the PMR. I'd read that the carbine works best with a heavier bullet. I tried a couple rounds of the lighter bullet and it did not cycle fully. I shot a few rounds at 15 yards to sight in, then 18 yards then out to the 25 yard mark. I'd attached a cheap red dot, which is a lot of fun but mostly I used the pop-up Magpul Mbus sights. These sights are easy to use and were sighted in just right straight from the box. My cheap red dot needed adjustment but I didn't bring a wrench.
For some odd reason the second round from each of the three mags did not pick up and chamber. Had to manually cycle those three. The rest all worked just fine. This small, lightweight carbine is an absolute blast to shoot. I've come to really enjoy the pistol but the carbine is another level of fun. The only problem with this gun is that you can fly through a ton of ammo very quickly. If you like the PMR, you'll love the CMR. Easy to use, accurate, nice sights, nice trigger, compact and lightweight at under 4 lbs. Still a bit hard to find but the prices have come down from the stratosphere to a high but affordable range around $600. Yes you can buy a decent AR for that but there's something just a bit more fun than the AR. I like it!
