With the November votes coming up, remember, "Friends don't let friends vote incumbent." I've gotten to the point I don't much care which party they are in!!:86:

I've already voted against the incumbents in the primary. Absentee.

I have a problem with that. Always voting anti-incumbent could result in a vote for a Democrat, and the Dems, IMO, have caused nearly all the problems we have had in the last couple of years. Remember, about 98% of the Republicans have been fighting the new policies and laws, but they are so outnumbered, they seldom win.
I'll be the first to admit that the Republicans badly fumbled the ball between about 2002 and 2006, but it cost them dearly, and I hope they learned from that. At any rate, they certainly could not be any worse than what we have right now, and they probably would be a great deal better. The nation always seems to work better with an executive dept. of one party, and a legislative dept. of the other. When it comes to politics, deadlock is your friend.
A smarter vote would be one based on the record of the incumbent or challenger. BTW, I am neither a Republican or Democrat. I have no dog in this fight except the future of the Republic.

I with you 100% Odell. Lately it seems we really don't have much to choose from. In our local primarys it seems now folks are terribly afraid of change and who can blame them.
I think as much as we need to get back to the ideal deadlock or slightly majority Republican situation we need to focus our efforts on educating the voters or perhaps create a minimum common sense IQ level in order to vote.
The people taking us down were voted in by the people. I use the word people very loosely, for many that would be a real stretch.
