Hey Guys,
Havent been around in a while and figure I'd reach out to the brain-trust in this great forum. My hunting interest has got me Jones'in to try handgunning for venison. I bought an mid 70's S&W 29-2 with 8 3/8" barrel. My desire to buy a shooter for the field turned into getting one that should be shot & caressed lovingly but not dragged out in the rain, snow and dropped in a swamp with me attached to it (has happened 2x). Its too purty for that. So I started to think about my options and naturally migrated to buying a used S&W 629 or a DE. I'm really warming up to owning a DE more & more. I have model 3 options: DE44, DE44W (Israel/IWI) or DE44SRMB (stainless w/muzzle brake). I'm sure all will shoot minute of deer, but of the 3, does one stand-out more than the other? More specifically, I get the benefits of having a MB to tame recoil, but is the IWI model more/less accurate, more/less reliable, etc. Thanks!
