Just got my barrel back from the MagnaPort guys. Very clean, professional job. Shot a quick 100 rounds through it and gave it a cleaning. Shoots like a dream. Felt recoil has to be reduced by at least 50 %.

That's not bad, at all. I would have guessed about $200-250. Do you see much more flash when you fire it?

Noticed nothing during the day.
I intend to shoot at night very soon.
Their site says there should be no
noticeable blast. The .40 has a lot of
muzzle blast out of a short barrel.

I can only assume I would be sending the pistol back to Kahr and they would be taking care of the Magna port?

coumnty co. NO, the slide kand barrel are sent to magna port, not kahr. Kahr has nothing todo with this process.

Ratmando. that is one cool look covert. a nice job all the way around. You won'tnotice any mroe flame out of that proted gun than you wouldhave it being none ported. That 40 cal covert is going to shoot flames out the front of that gun no matter what you do. Daytime you don't see it. Nighttime, that 40 cal will light up the sky.

Wonder why kahr ever got away from the covert??

Hi all, just wondering what is the difference between a P40 covert and a PM40 ....I had my CW40 Magna-Ported and really like how it shoots now...would do again many times over as the muzzle flip was pretty stout before but now is no worse than a .38 snub with standard loads....Try it, you will like it

covert P40 is a P40 cut down to PM40 mag/grip size. as u can do with your cw40 but still retain that little longer barrel that is on your cw40 but yet get the PMsize grip. course u loose one round in doing so.

Kahr used to offer that as factory, now guys are either doing it themselves by cutting the length of the grip down to accept the smaller capacity magazie or letting a smitty do it that has done it. If any one wants to do this I have a smitty that does alot of them and he is reasonable, good and prompt to.
