Hello, just purchased a CW40 a couple weeks ago. At the advise of the tech. at the LGS I headed to the range without cleaning. I looked at the bore, and loader her up. First trip out ran 150 rounds, and gun was perfect. Just went again Wednesday, 100 rounds same results. I guess I better break it down and clean it up. Needless to say, I am very happy with the Kahr! I am going to carry it in an old Liberty holster for now, but want to find a paddle holster eventually. Had been using a Smith 642 for daily carry, boy this thing is much more comfortable and easier to conceal. Not to mention more knock down power. It looks like this is a great place for information. Looking forward to participate.

Yup, ya came to the right place. Lots of smart fellas and a wealth of Kahr experience to draw from.
Welcome, you'll like it here.

Oh and for sure show that new CW some love and clean it. Check out the proper prep of your new Kahr in the tech section as well as the lube chart in the same section. Glad its running fine for you. They are a great little gun.

Curious, why did you pick .40 caliber?

Hey Steve, I generally carry a .40 or .45 in the fall, winter, and spring. I had been carrying a .38 or 380. in the summer. I feel the .40 is a better self defense round than those are. With the OAD of the CW 9 and CW40 being about the same, no question, CW40. Also I have a lot of .40 ammo, and it is much cheaper than the .38 or .380. I sold the .38, but am keeping the KT P3AT, sometimes that is all I can conceal depending on my clothes.
