When did the NY trigger become standard on the K 9?

I think it has always been the standard trigger. My early, '96 K9 came with it as did my latest, '09 K9 did, (since upgraded to the elite trigger).

Thanks Ripley. Was the upgraded Elite trigger worth it, and if so, did Kahr install it and how long did it take to get it back?
