I just bought a new CM40 to go with my PM9 and P380 and I'm wondering if anyone has a favored job in .40 that they have found to be 100% reliable. I have been carrying Buffalo Bore ammo in my 9mm and .380, but I'm not sure my hand can take a Buffalo Bore in .40.
I've been considering the Remington and Sig high end ammo but any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

I always ran Speer Gold Dot in mine but it's been quite a spell since I had it out.
It never gave me issues. Did everything I asked it to do.

I use American Eagle 165 & 180 gr. round nose for practice. I carry Federal HST 165 & 180 gr. JHP's for real. Been using both for quite a while now, and never an issue. I also carry HST's in an MK9. Target Sports USA has had deals going on HST ammo. I used Blazer 180 gr. in the past and never had an issue, but the American is more accurate for practice, and a bit stouter, and less dirty, IMHO. If I could afford it, I would run and carry some Corbon.

The Remingtons... all their top Golden Sabers... 180gr... are the best for consistent penetration and best expansion, coming in #1, 2, & 3, in the Lucky Gunners ammo testing. The regular GS were first, then the Ultimate Defense, and then the Bonded Golden Sabers. The Golden Sabers can be found for about $15 per box of 25 sometimes. I bought a partial case (14 boxes) online for $15 a box with around $17 shipping on one deal.

It all depends on who's tests you believe, and whether they use the "who the hell cares gelatin" tests. Gelatin never proved much to me. If you look at real life tests, ie. through glass, clothing, etc. There is barely a difference between the top 5 or 6 loads. Take your pick.

+1. I went with Remington because you get 5 more in each box. :o

Anyone have problems with Hornady Critical Defense 165 grain or Blazer Brass 180 grain?
