Went to Cabela's today just for fun.
Checked out the used counter just for fun.
And a LNIB maybe never fired nickel plated W German P220 45 is staring at me.
I knew better, but asked to hold the gun - Ops...
Already have a two tone nickel plated P220 (folded steel slide).
But this baby just kept calling my name.
With Photobucket screwing the pooch I've got no means to post pictures.
But the gun looks exactly like this -

I have banned myself from gun stores the rest of the year so I do not encounter such enticements. Watch out come January!!!

Definitely a beautiful firearm. Had a 220 sas............sold it.........wished I wouldn't have had to. Too large for my mitts, but they are one nice firearm. One of the best.............................................. ..............................

Thanks.
I should know better than saying No More Guns.
Really meant no more guns this year...
I've never even seen a W German P220 in the flesh.
Much less for sale.
And I'm always attracted to the shiny.
That factory nickel was just too much for me - LOL!
Now I'm rounding up zipper back 7 round mags for the pup.
It just came with one (stainless or nickel plated) zipper back in the gun.
It's funny, I've got a U.S. two tone nickel P220.
And this W German one feels very different to me

I have a W. German Sig. 226 which I purchased in 1986, and I love it….and it's would be the last to go if I had to sell a few arms.
But it doesn't fit in some Sig. 226 holsters because they have changed some of the ergonomics.

Me and Sigs don't get along too good. I love them and I'm sure they love me but my hand just doesn't fit them well.
I've lusted for a 220 SAS for ages but just can't shoot them good.
That being said if I'd found this one and had the loot, it would have come home with me too. That's a beautiful thing.
