Saw this posted on a Texas sports board where I hang out a lot (don't know the Houston fellow who posted it). It's a bit confusing, but I asked him if he would post the catalog when he gets a copy:

So my FFL guy in Houston just got awarded a 450-500 gun consignment that is owned by an old gentleman now in a nursing home needing some funding. His collection includes over 200 new in box Rugers and 1911s dating back 70-100 years old.
I saw just a few examples. Amazing stuff. 1911s from 1911-1913. Numerous 1911s from WWII unfired. Calibers I’m pretty sure you cant walk into to Cabelas to purchase. .41 Rem Mag.

He’s going to give me the complete list once he catalogs everything. It’s all going on gunbroker.

(I had to edit out some profanity)

Sort of a once in a lifetime occurrence.

Sort of a once in a lifetime occurrence.

That it is...it is usually the estate selling them to local dealer who makes the killing.
