Lasermax vs CT- color choice?

So I have CT on other weapons, and they are great! I was thinking about trying a green laser on my PM40, no reason why, just curious. Are lasermax similar to CT in any way? I thought I could try it and not shell out the $$$, and IF I like it move to CT. Ideas? Thanks!

Crimson trace are grip activated while lasermax is fingertip or magnet activated. I have both, I like the crimson trace style, but the green laser is so bright and clear, even in daylight.

Forgot to mention, the green laser will burn through batteries, the red lasts alot longer.
