The Slide Dimple Explanation

I remember someone asked why their slide had a small dimple machined in the bottom. Here's the answer.

Also of late we've found some slides with additional dimples, I don't recall now how that panned out but it added confusion for sure.

The dimple indicates it's the new style slide with the new narrower rear dovetail. The caution is to order sights with attention to the new or old style dovetail.

Huh... nope - I use Opera browser - when Iopen with Firefox and Edge - pictures are there... but with Opera.. nada.
