I just saw on Sigforum a compassion between the Sig P365, Glock 43, and Kahr PM9. Great photos from all angles and interestingly enough the P365 and the PM9 look to be VERY similar sized in every photo. Dang, this thing is really calling me.

Thanks guys. He may have been the one posting over on Sigforum. Somehow I missed the posts here. I am good at that, just ask my wife.

Here's an interesting 1000 round test. Not all went well. Lots of FTF.

I saw that video and find it hard to conclude this gun is not yet ready for prime time. Tom Gresham had some extensive interviews with the designers of this gun and pretty much everything I can find posted sings the praises of this tiny gun. Being a Sig owner and having a fondness of the shape of their triggers as opposed to the split design of others, I look forward to handling one. Tomorrow I will be placing a order at my local LGS who is listing them at $515 which is in the ballpark of what I expect to pay. Lord knows when I will see it but my PM9 serves me well until it does.
I usually don't beta test a gun (ha,ha, think my Kimber K6s) but given it's size and capacity, this could possibly replace my PM9 as my go to IWB carry semi.

Something you may not know is that you're probably going to get Sig X-Ray night sights instead of Siglites. It seems that Sig has a bottleneck in production because of availability of Siglites so they are going to be shipping new P365s with their X-Ray sights. I'm really digging my 365 but I'm a little jealous because the X-Ray sights are awesome. They came on my 226 Legion and I like them better than any night sights I've ever used.

Did something I never did before. Bought a holster for a gun I do not own. [emoji15]

Just a kydex front pocket from AHolster for the P365, love the one for my PM9.

Yup... I'm all about symbolic commitment. [emoji6]

I've done that a few times myself. But honey I have this holster/ammo/accessories for this gun, I'd be a fool not to buy one.

Sometimes it works often time not. Maybe only 28 percent success.

I'm anxious to hold one of these P365's but for some reason looking at the pictures it just screams S&W Sigma and I wasn't fond of them.
This one sounds a whole lot better, just need to wrap my head around the look and clear the nightmares from the cobwebs of my head.

I never owned a Sigma, I am rather proud of that.

I ordered the gun (P365) without any holster because I think it will fit the same holster I have my MX9 in. I will have to wait and see. The gun won't be in for 2 or 3 more weeks, it's a pre order. I have never held one yet but I have small hands and I think it will be perfect for me.

I am anxious to see one. Brownell's is preordering them for $489 shipped, which is much better than the inflated GunBroker prices currently happening. It seems like a winner---small,light, thin, and 10 rounds capacity.

I love my Kahrs, but more capacity in a similar platform is a no-brainer. My G26 doesn't get carried a lot because it is so chunky.

Although I will pre-order one, the devil on my other shoulder says, just carry one extra mag for the PM9 you shoot so very well.

That same little devil keeps telling me that too. I ignored him well recently when I saw a good deal on a g26 with extra goodies. Now he's telling me how many more 10 round 9mm's do you need? but inside i'm thinking "at least one more".

So much for the devil on my shoulder. I just put my name on the list (#24) and money down on one at my local LGS who has already sold a half dozen of them.. $515 + tax. Not the greatest price but I do make every effort to support local sellers.

A voice of sanity in the P365 frenzy. Should be ashamed of yerself.

By gawd, I think that's about the nicest thing anybody ever said to me.

Sanity and bawanna don't rightly belong in the same sentence but it makes me feel warm and fuzzy just the same.

No, I'm not interested in one. I already have better 9mm's.

Not sure how you can pre-judge a pistol that has at the time of the original post not been released yet.
And "better" is subjective not objective.

Thanks though for your input. Noted.

aaannnnnnnnnddddddd the beta testers are reporting in - er, I mean the first adopters Sig is using as Beta testers, and by all accounts, (sadly) The 365 is not for the number if days to carry but the number of failures per 1000 rounds fired.

Failures to feed
Failures to go back in to battery
Broken firing pins
Mushrooming barrels
Miss alignment of barrel to slide shredding aluminum
Weak striker springs

ALL of these issues have necessitated two separate rounds of "return for repair" though Sig is QUICK to not call them
"recalls" bit repairs, all new firearms have growing pains, but after the P320 fiasco, Sig did not need this next bloody nose.

I've dropped all my enthusiasm for this gun until 2019 now, let those that have them be the Guinea pigs for Sig - I hope they get your growing pains sorted out.
I was SO excited for this to be the replacement for my 442 and XDs - but no longer.

In a way CPTKILLER was right, he already does have better 9mm's

I found one at BassPro on Monday. Took it to the range for the first time today. Have to say, I'm very impressed. Almost exactly the same size as my PM9, fits the Nemesis I have for the PM9. 150+ rounds at 8yds yielded good results. It has the same trigger feel as the P320. It'll have to prove itself much longer term before it replaces the PM9 in my pocket, however. But so far so good. Not one hiccough.

Nice and good shooting. I'm still wanting one and there is a gun show this weekend. May I'll see one and be able to handle it.

I was really interested in one until I started reading about all the issues....I pocket carry so weight with 11 rounds might get to be too much...A couple years ago I traded my PM9 for a Sig 290RS which shot good and was the right size but that thing was soooo heavy in the pocket so I gave up and went back to a Smith 642 snub and traded the Sig for a full size M&P .40 which I didn't like much and couldn't shoot well so I traded it for a full size M&P .45 which was good for a while but not really good for CCW so traded it for a .45 Shield which worked ok but I just couldn't get used to IWB carry so after spending a ton on different IWB holsters I have now gone back to the future and traded the Shield for a Kahr PM9 DLC finish with night sights that I pick up tomorrow so I'm right back to where I started.....I know, it's a sickness....Guess that's why my nick name from Papa was always "New Moon" as in not so bright....

Oh how I can relate to that merry go round. I've been looking at a cw9 w/ dlc finish recently. 7+1 and a spare mag and I'd be ready.

Sounds like a bad case of grass is always greener gone seriously south...:)

But I do understand. My usual concealed carry, with thought, handguns are lw 3.5" barrel 1911/PM9/Sig 238/Smith 442/NAA .22mag mini. My no thought, just clip on and go/scoot out the door, arm has circled back to my decades old favorite 442 J-frame.

I hope this gun works out for you.
Have four Sig guns that I love and will keep forever.
But their latest beavertail, rail, strange color stuff is off putting.
Worse yet drop test fails.
Finally reports of deteriorated quality control has led me to steer clear of that manufacturer altogether.

Again, wish you the best of luck and hope it works out for you :)

Except the CW9 doesn't come with a DLC finish. Gotta be a P9.

I've managed to resist the P365 frenzy Ok so far.

I'm pretty happy with my micro 9mm Kahrs for deep concealment carry, and if I'm gonna carry OWB, it's gonna be something larger.

It'll be 10+1 capacity with a 14 round spare mag. A nice leather holster with a leather mag pouch on the support hand side. Very comfortable, yet concealable. Night sights, accurate, and very reliable. Can use my other CZ mags at the range - load 'em all up at home, and not waste time loading at the range.

Correct, don't know what I was thinking, it's going for $410 today.

Yep, it's still on the list. I've passed twice this year so far, once for the HK P30 and cant remember what the other one was, probably a bill that came in. :(

Got to hold a P365 today - and as much as I was looking forward to holding one in person, it did not elicit the TAKE MY CREDIT CARD NOOOOWWWWWWWW response like it did when I read about them pre-shot show.
While the P938 DOES still give me that OOOHHHHH I need to own you feeling - the temptation is getting hard to resist the P938.

I see a lot of 938's that come into our range and nearly everybody shoots them well. My only negative thought is the fact they have to be carried cocked and locked. Great for a holstered gun, not so much for something to be put in a pocket or purse. Hammers snag on everything.

My P365 came in yesterday. Tiny. It fits perfectly in all three of my PM9 holsters. Soft shooter, nice trigger, x-ray sights very nice, POA=POI, took it down after shooting a box of 124 gr. 4.0 Titegroup handloads with no malfunctions and the field strip showed no wear marks anywhere. Dead on by me and another experienced shooter. No "Glock Knuckle".

This is a very, very nice gun so far.

First mag after initial cleaning out of the box.

Congrats on your new Sig. 700 +/- through mine and it rocks! Got the 12 rounder mag in the other day. It gives the little pistol plenty of pinky room. 10+1 or 12+1, PM9 size, great trigger with short reset and accurate - what's not to like? Not getting rid of my CM9 though, it's just not going to get as much love as it's used to. Neither is the Glock 26.

The P365 box dimensions, length, width and height, are almost identical to a Kel-Tec P11, a pistol that originated in the 1990s. The P11 weighs about 4 ounces less, however. My 20+ year old, internally polished P11 is very reliable, but does not shoot as well as my Kahrs, which is why I rarely carry the KT. The heavy trigger is its main safety feature and I trust it, but I did install a heavier firing pin spring to make it more drop safe. At derringer distances, it would be quite effective and the pocket clip, which I think originated with KT, makes it smaller to carry by eliminating a holster.
Sig has made much of how they designed the P365 around their new magazine design. I do not understand what Sig did that KT and its mag supplier, Meggar, had not already done in the 1990s. I am sure that the P365 will prove to be a better pistol than the P11, but I am very impressed by what KT did 20+ years ago.

Very interesting finpro. I have never seen or heard of the KelTec P11. Did some research and they were very forward thinking with that gun.
Thanks for that info. I learn something new every day.

The P11 is 4 oz. less with no mag I believe but even at that the P11 has a relatively good reputation for a Kel Tec. If I ever ran across a new one I think I'd have to get it.
