Has anyone filed down their slide stop a bit?
My pm9 seems to be sharp.
Will it void my warranty?
It is stainless black. How should I do it?

I melted mine down considerably. Rounded it all off and removed alot of material. Checkered the lever portion and polished it. Mine was stainless though. Yours being black creates some additional issues, mostly it won't be black any more.
I'm just guessing that it wouldn't void your warranty but it's only a guess. It's a relatively simple piece to replace too. Some order a new one before they work on the old one. If you send in for repair put the new one in.
That might be an option for you. Order a stainless one and modify it and leave the original as is.
I just used a file, a tiny bit of dremel work and then polishing wheel.
I had pictures of mine here someplace but I sure can't find them. Maybe some of the smarter people around here can find em. I'll see if I still got em in my crystal ball.

I would go with the order a new stainless one and modify it, saving the DLC one for "resale" or whatever. I think they are $24 something plus $6 shipping... order other stuff up to $50 and save a bit on shipping at Kahr.
I don't know that a DLC one would look pleasing after filing, grinding, sanding, and polishing.

I agree 100% with Mr Trout on this one. I would buy a new one tweak that one a bit, not hard to do either. Then if you ever did want to sell or just have your original DLC back ....easy cheesy........

I found the pic I posted of my melted down slide stop lever. Stuff around here I still haven't figured out.

Can't say for sure that it works, I can say that I find myself not really caring if it works or not, so I guess that's a good sign, that is if I really cared which of course I don't really know since I'm no doubt effected by narcotics, global warming, and our current poor excuse of an administration both nationally and locally.:banplease:
ok bye
