This is seriously cool! Loved that movie, car, the whole bit. And not all that long after Bullitt hit the streets I bought a new '69 428 Mustang Cobra Jet in Black Jade (dark green).
Thanks, Armybrat, for making my day!

So soon there will be a new Ford Bullitt Mustang

Wife recently traded in her 2010 6 spd. RT Challenger for a 10 spd. auto, 2018 Mustang GT in Royal Crimson. It's currently waiting to be shipped from the Ford plant. 15 days till delivery. we hope.
At 72 yrs. old I hope this is the last thing on her bucket list. She doesn't need 460 h.p.

Told my wife about this and she wanted to know why I didn't get her one. Told her I would have had I known, probably just as easy to ship two as it is one.
I saved myself and told her they don't make it in a convertible. That's her thing now, has to be a convertible.
She has a Convertible 2005 Mustang with a V6 and still scares me when I have to ride with her.
Tell me they don't make a convertible. Pullleeeeeeeze.

But you could cut the top off.
If you get her one make sure it isn't a 10 spd auto. That's faster then the 6 spd manual.
0-60 in 3.8 seconds vs. 4.2 sec. for the manual. And about 11.-- sec. in the quarter mile

Hold me mommy. I don't even want to think of my wife in a car with those specs. Now myself it might kind of nice for a little while.

I love it that they have the green VW in it too, just like the original!

Believe it or not or this ain't no ca ca, I had a 68 VW Bug that turned the quarter in the mid 12's and I drove it on the street.
At one time I had a 4 barrel Holley on it but it ran it's best with 2 two barrel Webers. Had a lot of fun in that car, the stories it could tell.

I'd love to have that car myself. Might be tricky for me to drive but we'll figure it out.

Well the wife's Mustang still hasn't been delivered. It sat in the awaiting transit status for a long time. Then it was in transit. But then the transport train from Flat Rock MICH. broke down. What a flat tire ?
Now delivery is estimated to be in 15 days.
UGH !
I had an appointment to bring it in to have a tow hitch installed to tow our camping trailer with it.
