I messed up, my K40 made one trip back, they said the barrel was peening. New slide and barrel, no problems since. Forgot about that trip.
So far PM45 has not experienced any factory homesickness. I'm hoping it keeps a clean record.

One trip back for a cosmetic [non functional] repair on my used PM45. Handled under warranty, and they even replaced the recoil assy, polished ramp, and tested the gun. The other two pistols never had a problem.

Well when I bought my P45 used, I've had it for some time now, and it has been flawless, many many rounds through it, never a problem. My magazines are even in great shape. But that's used and I know I know your poll is for a new gun. On another note, I've only had to send one gun back to the mother ship, and it was a Rossi 462. I got nowhere with it, needed cash and peddled it.

Sending my brand new P9 back as the trigger fails to reset while firing. This happened 6 times within the first 200 break in rounds. Hopefully, this will be first and last trip cause I'm not gonna sweat the imperfectly etched engravings on the slide.

If the imperfect etching on the slide bugs you as it obviously does or you wouldn't have mentioned it, I would request them to look at that also and save a possible future trip.
After giving up on his, Kahr rerolled his or possibly replaced Wynn's slide on his PM45. It went from ugly and wrong to beautiful and correct.
Never hurts to ask.

Never for my PM9, or my brothers PM45. Even though he had extensive work done on his PM45 by C&S, they have both functioned perfectly since day 1. I'm not sure on his round count, but I know mine has to be near 1000. Still looks like the day it was purchased.

never, with either my MK9 or my P380. Both worked like a champ right out of the box.

course, a lot of that must be the operator. ;)

I really think your doing the wise thing Roger P9. a shame but it willbe right when you get it back, sometimes when a qualified tech is looking at a return, it tends tog et more TLC that assembly line stuff---SO I AM TOLD.

My P380 & PM9 have never been back to Kahr. I did use a hone on the inside of the slide stops to get a little more clearance from the bullet. They have both been flawless.

Great survey. I just rolled past a mirror, I smiled and backed away, didn't seem to help............

My PM9 has been flawless, only had two FTFs during the first hundred rounds and not a single one since (2000+). Could not be happier with mine.

Good advice guys. Your right it does bother me.(Imperfect etching) I would have overlooked it if the gun operated correctly. I will mention it to them. I hope to be a happy Kahr owner with stellar reports of 1000s of rounds, no problems too. Glad to hear they did Wynn right, I'm hopeful.

My pm45 went back three times. I am thinking that part of the reason for that many trips was mine, I don't think I explained the issues well enough.
On the last trip I enclosed photo's and a detailed description of the issues I was having. I've put about 500 rounds since it's return with no problems. Imo they did a real good job
, and the longest they had it was about 5 days includeing a week end.

First, I put never. I bought thee cw40 used. The first owner had bent the slide lock spring and had sent it back. Kahr replaced the broken piece as well as the slide, barrel, guide rod and guide rod spring. I was a just about a brand new gun. The first owner had only shot it once! She ownes a local store and used the Kahr when she was making her money drops. She couldn't wait for Karh to fix it so she replaced it was so other gun. The day after I bought it she was back looking to rebuy it, Her new gun just didn't have the same feel!

I hate it when folks bash Kahr C.S. without giving specific examples of what the problem was. Good or bad, it's just not fair.

Here are the results of this survey in text form:

87.5% had no problems.

12.5% had to send guns back.

40% of guns sent back had to be sent back two more times!!!

Looks good huh?

Take into account the small sample of 40 respondants and weigh the results accordingly.

BTW, my P9 works flawlessly. Didn't get it that way though.

Watch yer back, Jim K

My CW40 has been back twice so far, hopefully that's it. My problem was that the slide lock would randomly engage with rounds in the magazine (No, the spring is not damaged or bent). That was the only style of malfunction, loved everything else about the gun.

I'm at almost 500 rounds down range since the purchase with 80-100 troublefree rounds since the last return to the factory. If I can get another 200 rounds out without failure I'll be a happy man.
