Trying to maximize the number of rnds I carry for both personal use & IDPA. The attached photo shows my PM9 with a 9-8 magazine. As you can see the black baseplate does not fit flush with the PM9 grip. Kahr does not make a baseplate extension for the 9-8 mags. Anybody have any thoughts as to how I can get a flush fit with the PM9 grip?
Thanks

Yup, buy a P9! As far as I know, the only way to get what you want is to make, or have made what you want!

FWIW, I think you should forget extra rounds for IDPA with your PM9; the PM9 will be most at home in BUG Division because it can compete against guns of the same sight radius and overall size and capacity (6 in the gun MAX) 3 6rd. reloads(24 rds. for a 18rd. stage) on the belt. in CCP,(Glock 19s rule) you would have the first mag w/9rds. and two reloads of 8rds. = the extra sight radius from a longer barrel.
if you want to shoot just club matches, use the long mags w/6rds. and enjoy,I started that way w/ my CM9 EDC/Match gun.
when I decided to shoot sanctioned matches, I had to meet the BUG box size restrictions, 4.625" with your longest mag inserted, so I made my 6rd. mags w/ pinky hook fit the box.
bottom line, get out and shoot! show 'em what these little guns can do.

JAA,when my CM9 and I are not at a match, it wears a 7rd. mag+1 in the CM, and a 7rd. mag w/ Lakeland +1 baseplate on the belt for EDC.

Thanks to all for your timely responses and thoughts. Going give it some thought as to what direction I’m going to take.

Use a Pachmayr magazine sleeve to take up the space;
