Hello everyone!

I am new to the forum, so I'm not sure if this is the best category to nest this thread. My EDC is a PM9 that I've had for quite some time, so I've been looking around for a second PM9 to dedicate to training. On one of the auction sites I noticed a magazine that had a different grip extension (possibly a base plate or +1 extension) that I hadn't seen before. Maybe some of you can help me identify it...https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B26-_Fjxvqf7OEdWRlVkZVVrTEdLRGpkVlV4ZTFxaXhxZXlj/view?usp=sharing

I wasn't sure how to attach an image so this is a google drive link for sharing.

Anyhow, I like that it adds just enough material for the pinky to rest without adding too much.

Here's hoping someone recognizes it!

Looks like a Kahr factory plastic base plate that had the front "lip" ground off.

Not stock for the PM9, but they come with the P/CW series.

If I was looking for just a little bit of extra room for my pinkie (I'm not), I'd likely go with Lakeline's +1 extension. Looks close to the same height, and adds an extra round.

I went and looked at the other photos for that auction (https://www.gunbroker.com/item/762861635) and I'm wondering if that might be a modified Pearce extension.

Some Kahr pistols come with the extension: https://shopkahrfirearmsgroup.com/cm9-tungsten-with-grip-glove/

Looking at them pictures I'd have to say your probably right. Not sure why they'd want to take off the front hook on the Pierce. They feel pretty good, at least the ones I've tried in the past.

I just got them for the detectives Glock 30's. Not a big difference but noticeable. They all have huge hands so every little bit helps.

That looks just like a coupl'a Pierce extensions that I modified. Modified 'cause when I "slammed" the mag home the beak of the extension poked my hand in the wrong spot, excellent extensions by the way!!

:biggrin1:

That makes sense, slamming the mag home would pound the palm a might. No doubt why they modified it, hadn't thought of that.

Modded Pearce. Good idea that does the job perfectly.

Thanks everyone for the responses! Very helpful. I am trying out the Lakeline mag extension, seeing if I like it more than my standard Pearce grips.

Galloway Precision makes an extension that I am fond of, it might be worth checking out!
