Just wanted to share a first for me. I bought a used 9mm Competition Series by Colt. Since it had plenty of "honest" muzzle/safety/slide stop wear, I wanted to go ahead and "wear" the whole thing. In the pics, you can see the muzzle wear. I also installed Hogue Magrips. I can say that this is the most accurate gun (to me) that I have ever shot. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with it's performance.

I just love honest wear like that. Loved, not abused. Not sure why but I been hankering for a 9mm 1911. Probably just cause I don't have one. Is that a good enough reason you think?

Sounds like a perfect enough reason to me! I think you will love shooting it, and the ammo cost savings. I get Academy Sports to price match, so I get Remington UMC (50 rounds) for less than $9. Local range gives veterans a break, so it's $5 for range time. Good, cheap fun!!!
