I got up early and videoed the demolition of the Jacksonville JEA conventional power plant cooling towers this morning at 08:00 EDT. I'll post a youtube link here shortly. The video was about 5.5 minutes and the demo starts right at 4:00 with sound arrival at about 4:22 or so... from 25,000 fett away to the North. I was at the extreme west end of the seawall in the little boatramp park behind my house, though I could see the towers from my front yard.
The tower demolition starts at about 4:00 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L09elIWjr5I&t=240s) with sound arrival about 22 seconds later... from about 5 miles away. 1,500 pounds of dynamite and 12,000 linear feet of detonation cord
The picture is using my very old and dropped oftern Canon SD780iS using about 7.5 or more zoom from a tripod on the seawall.
