Can anyone either deny or confirm this article?

I haven't heard anything about it but it's really not surprising. Seattle is like a substation of California.
Lots of strange folks down there and lots of strange folks on the city council and other high offices.
I avoid the place like the plague.

Asked my son about this...he lives there. He said nothing on local news or papers that he has seen.

I read the article. It said only 20 left this year to work elsewhere, while the others left just because it was retirement time. In 6 months, 20 leaving, that’s only 3.3 per month. Hardly news worthy in a city that size.

I guess with 24/7 media coverage something has to appear to be news worthy.

Just like I figured...thanks for the replies, can't seem to trust the news today.

Don't trust the news ever. Just once if they write that Trump did something good, then I might have a tiny bit of faith in them.
Until then I read the comics first.

So you start with the Politics section first, huh? Sorry, I just couldn’t resist.
Beat me to that, you did.

Seattle is not the only area that officers are leaving. Boston, Philly, St Louis, Indy etc among many others.

The Lib's will get the kind of law enforcement that they have been asking for, then, what will they do????

Law Enforcement is suddenly becoming a carrier to avoid at all costs when you can be sent to jail for doing your job. They put their life on the line and can be held for shooting someone in the line of duty. You can expect lower new applicants, earlier retirements and a lower quality of new hires. Who would want to make a carrier of being a policeman and putting their life on the line with the way they are treated today and held liable for just doing their job? Not near as many as before. Police Departments will soon be begging for people to hire.

School teachers and school bus drivers are another occupation(S) hurting for qualified people!
