CW45 ejection issues

Just bought a CW45 (slightly used). It seems to shoot fine, but when I try to eject a live round without the magazine in it, the round hangs up on the ejection port and gets stuck. I don't seem to have the problem when a magazine is inserted with ejecting live rounds.

Anyone else experience this? If so, what did you do to fix it?

I've heard this before and I believe we found that the slide wasn't being pulled back with enough gusto like happens when it's being fired.
Rip the slide back like you mean it and it should eject good.
The ejection ports are not overly generous but they work.

I have to watch my P45 like that, that ejection port is awful small. Like Bawanna said, rack the slide like you mean business, and it'll come out.

Tilting the pistol to the right so that the cartridge can fall out, helps, too.

Another thing:
If you fire the pistol without a magazine inserted, the HOT case can fall through the magazine well into your hand... DON'T catch it... it's hot. BTDT.

Good points Wynn. I may know just how hot that brass is, but I can also plead the fifth in that regard.
