Presently own a CW-380, ST9, MK9 and have a T40 on the way. Recently sold a K40, which is why the T40 was ordered. Plan on carrying it on my Alaskan river and sea kayaking trips for bear protection. Have Buffalo Bore Outdoorsman, Underwood Hard Cast and Double Tap Hard Cast all in 200 grain on order. Whichever round I found which I shoot best will be my carry ammo. Wanted a heavier pistol for these hotter rounds.
I am am a certified Glock Armour but prefer the single stack Kahr for my smaller hands, and what I consider the better triggers of the Kahrs. Been running rivers and sea kayaking in Alaska for the last 30 years. Have carried everything from 454 Casul revolvers, Ruger 45 Colts, Glock 10mms and 12 gauge shotguns, and I decided to try a Kahr in S&W40 with the above mentioned rounds. I am not hunting bears but just want a pistol that I can get off one or two accurate rounds in a hurry. That and bear spray and having spent a lot time brown bears so far has worked. Have never fired at one of these magnificent animals and hope I never have to.
Look forward to sharing ideas, advice, and comments from other Kahr owners.
