ProMag used to (maybe still does) make magazines for .40 Kahrs. They were sold as for the K40, but will work in CM/CW/P/PM .40 pistols.
I've not had good luck with ProMags, but think it's mostly spring related.
Kahr 9mm magazines (7+) will work as well, but at reduced capacity and may not lock the slide back as the 9 follower is a little different from the 40 where the follower meets the slide stop.
Lakeline LLC makes metal followers for both calibers that fit Kahr magazine tubes.

I tried years ago to "convert" some of my 9mm Kahr mags to .40 and found that the tubes are different and too tight for reliable use. I keep a bunch for both calibers... mostly 7-rounders in .40 and 8-rounders in 9mm. I tried stretching or widening the tubes to no avail.

Save yourself a bunch of grief and money, just buy the Kahr mags for your 40! I have 20 of them for my CW40, I watched for sales and purchased them 2 to 4 at a time! At over 3,000 rounds downrange I have only broken 2 followers, both of which were due to a less than stellar mag loader! I have converted most of my 6 round mags to 7 rounders with Galloway mag extension which seem to work well!
Enjoy your pistola!

I pretty much go with Lefty on this one. At most get some Lakeline followers and your good to go the way God and Justin Moon intended.

My experience runs counter to yours Wynn. I did measure the tubes and found that the .40 is bigger, but it was not enough so that that I could not run them in my MK9. I do confess to not having shot many rounds this way.
However, my P40 Covert only came with an extended magazine, so I shot it quite a bit using my MK9 magazines and suffered no instances of failure to feed. I guess it's a case of the mileage may vary.
Given the options available, leftysixty gives sound advice with his "Save yourself a bunch of grief and money, just buy the Kahr mags for your 40!".
I would still spring for one or two of Lakeline's followers.

Greg
BTW, I doubt God had anything to do with .40S&W

Watching for good deals, here, and online, I bought quite a few 9mm and .40 mags for my Kahrs. I like at least 10 per pistol and had 3 9mm's and 2 .40 S&W Kahrs at one time. I just have one "P" Kahr for each of the 4 calibers, but accrued 14-16 each for the 9mm and .40, mostly the higher capacities.
I can load up a bunch of mags for the range before hand, though the guys there will want you to have unloaded mags. I can still leave my defensive carry mags loaded with SD fodder, though I do like to exercise those and test the carry ammo once in a while. :)
