I really do like my Kahr CT380.

But then my son-in-law send me THIS.................

That image now has me rethinking my wonderful all-steel Kahr K9 too...

Aw crap -- this is going to cost me $$$$$$.

Good thing the CT380 is 1/4" thinner and warm weather is coming -- that, plus, the 6 ounces lighter weight -- might help it stick around until fall maybe...

Maybe......................

Yeah, but twice the cost too.
However, I intend to wait awhile to see if Justin Moon is going to do something similar with the CW9 (increase the capacity to 10+1). Even the full size Ruger SR9 17+1 pistols are thin in the grip, no more than my CW45.

The 365 has great reviews and a few around here have them so I have held them.
So far the 365 just hasn't gelled in the beauty to the eye department. Just doesn't sing to me, too bulky or something, can't put my finger on it.
I figured to get one but so far the urge has subsided considerable.

My thoughts exactly. I’m finding thinness and weight are a big factor. I do have the p365 but resort to a 380 that slides into the pocket often.

always carry something though.

The slide looks out of proportion to the grip. At least to me it does.

The P365 is considerably bigger than the CT380 and even a little bit bigger than the CM9. Probably right in between the CM9 and CW9.

I’m still tempted by it.

P365, I don't shoot mine enough. Last time I was at the local shop (which has an indoor range) I thought to run a box of shells through it.
First ten, at ten yards:

It almost always shoots pretty close to that for me, so I stopped right there. Save the ammo for another day and not ruin the results was the theme of that short range trip. I'm pretty satisfied with my P365.

I see you got the Garrett Silent Thunder for it. How you liking that?
I'm a subscriber to the Don't ruin the results theory myself, course I usually don't have that good of results not to ruin.

Nice shooting! My first shot can be dead center... and it usually goes down hill from there! :D I can have a string like that and blow the last shot rushing the trigger, too.

I really like the CT-380. It's more of a P-size, my favorite, and the P380 should have been the PM380. The CT has a great feel and size, but I can't afford any more pistols, especially when I have the maximum concealment P380. I usually carry my P40 with the 4" ported barrel, and I prefer the P-sized pistols. :)

Getting ready to go see the grandgirls this time next week... Cadence will be 2 Sunday and Cayla 6 on Friday. I can't believe how the time flies when you get "elderly"... 73 next month, but a young(I think) 73! :D

I was at Lowe's yesterday looking at O-rings and pulled out my spare "hi-cap" .40 mag to see how one size fit. The bullets were very dusty and lots of lint... in the spare carried in a Kydex holder! I need to do some cleaning and make sure everything works! I'll carry my usual P40 and P380... except when I dismount the first time in Ill Annoy... the only place I can't carry concealed outside my vehicle. :(

Thanks Wynn! Have a great time with the grandkids.:cheer2:

Uh oh... Houston we have a problem...

I've been carrying a new-to-me SIG P365 lately and have shot it several times too...

I think the odds are good the CT will be going down the road before the fall!

I'm really liking this P365! (yes, that's heresy to say on a Kahr website, I know...)

Well just so I can contradict myself I carried the P365 this weekend in my jeans pocket instead of IWB and it was comfortable and functional. So where does the 380 fall??? Hmmmm... I’ll continue to ponder it I guess.

I need to shoot the P365 some more. I like the look of that Silent Thunder holster too.

The bonus for me was that my P365 fits in the Silent Thunder holster I bought for my MK9. I also happened to buy a really nice, barely used Black Arch IWB hybrid holster for my MK9, and it also fits my Sig like a dream.

Sold my CM9 to help pay for my P365. Good move considering the increased capacity in virtually the same size gun. I love it, but then life seemed weird without a Kahr, so I picked up a barely fired CT380 and I love it and carry it about as often as the Sig, depending on the situation. Both have been 100% flawless thru about 300 rounds thru each. I recommend owning one of each.

First of all let's be clear.....nothing to do with getting into caliber wars!! But those that carry or have both and chose the CT380 over the CM9 (or any 380 acp comparable size handgun)...why? Size is in no way a huge difference. I have shot both and the recoil difference is minimal at the best. 9mm ammo cheaper than 380 acp= my reason for a 9mm. although 380 acp has very good SD rds ...much larger and better choice with a 9MM.

I'm not a caliber snob, I have several. But given two guns that are within fractions of an inch of being equal in all dimensions, very close in weight, and hold the same number of rounds, why carry the lighter cartridge when you can carry the other?

FWIW, I keep my P380 because it is a no-excuses gun. So long as where I go legal carry is an option, and because I don't swim anymore, there are no times when I cannot conceal that gun. I have bigger, higher caliber choices for other times. And I would not carry the P380 when I could as easily and comfortably carry a more powerful choice.

During the last admin, .380 ammo was very hard to come by where I live and now even though it is readily available it has not gone down in price to the point where it was as cheap as it once was, or even as what 9mm costs today.

So, long story short, if a person can choose between the CT380 and a CM9, given their similarities, why would someone choose the 380?

CT380 and CM9 are my two carry guns. IWB at ~1:30.

Been mostly carrying the CM9 lately but the CT380 is smaller, thinner and lighter.

The Sig P365 seems to be a thicker P9 or CW9 size pistol.

With twice the capacity now that they've introduced a 15rd mag. Carrying concealed with a 10 or 12rd mag and having a 15rd for a spare would be quite sufficient.

My CT380 has moved on -- and my SIG P365 is now my favorite carry gun.

I'll keep my Kahr K9 for sure -- with Crimson Trace grips & Dawson fiber optic sights -- but I'm now down to only 1 Kahr.

They’re made by Tuff1.

They are silicon-based so they are a little grippier than a bike tube but still very thin.

Thanks for that. Just bought a two-pack. Finding decent add-on grips for some of the less popular pistols, especially the micros, can be tough.

* Update *

My CT380 is back -- and it's the P365 I played with awhile that has moved on!

The slim 380 was missed and I couldn't quite warm up to the 365 even though I'd tried, and it was my 3rd SIG too (I'll keep the others). The more I thought about it, I realized that if I needed more than the 8 rounds of 380 in the little Kahr -- then I was in the wrong neighborhood at the wrong time! Yeah, the 365 held 10 or 12 rounds of 9mm (or up to 15, but I didn't get one of those mags) but I honestly can't see myself needing that much firepower for what I call a "Get Off Me" gun. The l'il 380 doesn't print at all with just an untucked t-shirt and shorts, and it also pocket carries much better for me than the 365 did, so I've gone back to it.

The 365 did have a light striker-fire trigger too, but maybe it was "a little too light" (??) and I just feel more comfortable with the longer (but smoooooooth, with no stacking) trigger pull of the Kahr. Oh well, this isn't the first time I've tried a new gun just to go back to the one I'd had before... But going back to a Kahr isn't a bad thing.

And as this CT380 had been upgraded with the Lakeline Striker and a Galloway Precision SS Striker Guide, and was already broken in by the "prior owner" ;), it's concealed-carry ready to go.

I can relate to this. I’m just wishy washy. Haven’t carried my P365 recently and now 50/50 carry either a Sig P938 or LCP. The Sig is slightly smaller than the CM9 and I kinda like the manual safety. The LCP has seen more carry than any other pistol I own and I shoot it well. Also recently acquired a LCP v1.5 with the better trigger from my dads collection that I bought him about 4 years ago so that will likely see some carry also.

ive about figured out that I had best not get rid of any of small carry guns because I like to change up regularly.

Not too different from my experience.

I really like my P365, especially after some modifications to make it more ergonomic for me, but....

My CM9 pocket carries better. I'm just so used to the Kahr trigger - I trust it, and feel safer with it. I put MagGuts into my carry mag and backup mag. If 16 rounds doesn't get the job done, well....

My CM9 is my summer carry gun. Jacket weather means any of my CCW choices are fair play. I like my CZ Rami carried OWB, but also have carried my P365 a lot lately. I recently started carrying my CW9 OWB as well. Options are good.

I could make do carrying nothing but Kahr. It's a comfort thing for me. Here's a pic of my "upgraded" P365:

Same. I drive myself crazy trying to decide on the "perfect" carry gun. And every time I'm sure that I've decided, a nagging voice in my head reminds me about how great some of the other ones are. There are probably 3-4 models that I've bought a second time after selling the first one, certain that I had eliminated it from consideration.

I tell my wife that picking my carry gun for the day is like her trying to pick what shoes to wear and purse to carry to Church. She still didn’t completely understand my decision making process. To her a gun is a gun, but I guess that makes it even because to me shoes are shoes. But like I told her she always wears shoes when going out so I always carry a pistol.

There are probably 3-4 models that I've bought a second time after selling the first one, certain that I had eliminated it from consideration. There are some that go with the theory, that you should carry and practice with the same type firearm with the same mechanics. I like to become familiar with different types. Some people purchase a firearm that makes it easy to dress around. I always went with if I like the particular firearm, I will find a way to dress for that firearm. If there is a bit of discomfort carrying a particular firearm, if I like the firearm, I will deal with a bit of discomfort. After years of the whole "carrying" thing, I believe I now have what I believe are the closest to perfect for me firearms for carry. There are no guarantees in life, and one of my carry firearms is a revolver. I eliminated almost all of the bad things that can happen with a semi auto. Not that I ever had any major or even minor problems with owned semi's, but I think that a revolver in any rotation is a good choice, especially under stressful situations.
