I just picked up my new K9 Elite. The small screw that keeps the magazine release from poping out does not look right to me. It seats pretty deep it the hole. How do correct it?

It's normal, it looks just like my K's and my MK Kahrs, go shoot and enjoy your new gun.

It's not a screw.

It's a mag catch lock pin. Borrowed design from a 1911.

They are the same thread as a 1911. Standard length usually works for wood grips.

Got these on Amazon.

They were labelled for thin grips, but I still had to put 0-rings under them to keep them flush fitting, and to keep the mag from hitting them when inserted.

You know, my own K9 (purchased new this past fall), with night sights and blackened finish, is in almost every way perfect for me for CC. However, every time I see a photo of a K9 with a stainless finish, especially if it is also wearing wood grips, I lust for it BIG TIME. (I know, I know. I'm so shallow!)

Not really what you were asking about, but I had to share.
