If I purchase a CW 45 barrel will it fit into the P45? Would consider doing this so that I can shoot lead bullets.

I recently converted/modified/Bubba'ed my CW45 (http://www.kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?32227-Moving-on-from-my-CW45) with a P45 top end. The CW45 barrel I have is slightly longer than the one with the P45 top end. The CW45 barrel did fit into the P45 slide and I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary when cycling the gun by hand. I did not shoot it in that configuration, but see no reason why it wouldn't work (but, that's just my opinion).

Thanks! Which barrel is which in the photo? The one on the top has a longer "step" in the front of the lock lug than the bottom one, but not sure if that makes any difference.

The top one is the P45 barrel. If you search CW45 barrel you'll see some also cut the same way.
My guess is that the larger step just holds the guide rod better when reassembling the gun. Once the slide is on and the slide stop pin is in place, the end of the guide rod sits in the frame.

Okay, and so the CW slide and recoil housing are a little longer than the PW?
And so the CW barrel will fit, but stick out a smidgen past the P45 slide?

Yes, the CW45 barrel, slide, and guide rod are a little longer than the same P45 parts. One of the photo I posted above shows how far my CW45 barrel and CW45 guide rod protrude from my P45 slide. Here's a shot with the same P45 slide and my P45 barrel (plus a slightly shorter guide rod):
