New Member Question on PM45

Hello All, just bought A PM45 and A TP45 and would like some advice on good feeding and cycling 45 ammo for the Kahr 45 pistols? I have had other Kahr pistols in 9mm and 40 cal but have not used the 45acp Kahrs yet. Love the look and feel of both pistols and want to shoot soon. Thanks for any advise And love the web site:yo:

two super guns, you might want to go to the kahr tech section and hit on the lube chart and also the PROPPER PREPPING OF YOUR NEW KAHR. both are dandies. again welcome aboard, not being a 45 shooter. I will leave that to the 45 guys and we have some dandys to

I've used various commercial production FMJ's and JHP's and they've all functioned fine. But I have a thing about 230 gr. bullets so I've never used anything but!

I use 230gr HyraShoks, but at the range I buy whatever is cheapest. I would recommend that you use the slide stop to load it. It seems some folks have trouble when trying to rack the slide by hand. Good luck and enjoy shootin them 45's.

My TP45 is definitely a sleeper. A fine piece in all respects and extremely accurate to boot in CCW range with lower than normal recoil. I managed a 5 shot group of 11/16" offhand @21ft. and very respectable groups @75ft. offhand. The ammo I was using was Remington UMC 230gr FMJ, Federal American Eagle 230gr FMJ and Sellier & Bellot 230gr FMJ.:D

I have a g36 and a pm45, both shoot any thing I put in them. I did have problems with Winchester Ranger T in both though.
power ball , hydra shok and hornaday all ran great.

Thanks for all the info gentelmen I will give A try on the suggested ammo. I guess I have the Kahr addition now already looking for A pm 9mm :84:
