Picked up a used Pm9 the other day in mint condition and really like it. I put on a Pearce Ext on one of the mags. Lakeline has a +1 Ext made of Aluminum that doesn't cover the entire bottom of the mag. They also make a polymer +1 that requires you to also buy a plastic base plate and it covers the whole bottom of the mag well. Has anybody tried either of these? I don't want the Ext 7 round mag because it just plain looks ugly. The Pearce looks a little better but for me I wish it would cover the whole bottom. Also does anyone make a plug for the bottom like you can get for Glocks. Thanks

I’ve tried them all.
I don’t care for the Galloway extensions. They look bad and have sharp edges.
The larger Lakeline polymer is nice but it makes the gun harder to conceal. Pachmayr makes a similar one that is more rounded.
I use the Lakeline billet extension. It gives me just enough extra grip to get my pinky on and a little more palm on the backstrap. It’s about half the length of the other extensions.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll give the lake line billet one a try. Has it been reliable for you? By the way I tried that Tuff 1 grip you have on your Kahr but screwed up trying to cut out a window for the serial # plate on my S9 and ripped it. I won't try that again. Thanks

Yes, the Lakeline has been 100% reliable. I have them on 4 magazines.

I've always been pleased with Lakeline's products. I still use a prototype of the plastic 9mm base extension/sleeve. It provides a comfortable grip when used with an extended magazine in my PM9

With the sleeve removed, the Lakeline base plate looks right at home with the mag in my CW9

Techman, I'd like to suggest that you also take a look at Magguts' products for Kahr's 9mm pistols: https://magguts.com/product-category/kahr/kahr-kahr/

Can you use the standard polymer baseplate that comes with the CW9 mag when you use their sleeve or do you have to put on one of their base plates?

Remembering that I have prototype parts, I'd say that yes you can use the OEM polymer base plate. It works with my PM9, but the mag just barely locks in. To be comfortable with that combo, I would remove a little material from either the top of the base plate or the top of the sleeve so that the mag has a little more travel into the magwell. Now, with that said, I don't think that combo looks or feels as good as the Lakeline parts do when they are used together.

Yes I think the lakeline base plate would look better than the one that comes with S9 7 round mag. I'll try one with my Pm9 if I like it I'll make it my back up Mag. Still going to get one of the +1 aluminum Ext for my carry Mag. I am new to Kahrs have a S9 and Pm 9 and they are perfect for what I need. Thank You for the pics and your help

Hey Alfonse, There seems to be quite a market for a grip base plug for Kahr pistols like the ones for Glocks....Sure would look better than that ugly a$$ hole which has always bothered me....If Lakeline would start making a plug to cover that hole I bet you would sell a million of um....Just a thought

That's a great thought!
I filled mine (CM9) with some #4 lead shot until almost full, then cut a very slightly over sized plug out of a rubber fender washer; end result is a plug that is about 1/16th. below flush, and made a soft shooter even softer.
