For quite some time, I have searched, in vain, until now, for a concealed carry pistol that is right for me. I tried Glocks, Kel Tecs, Springfields... All great guns but they all came up lacking for my needs. All that changed today. About a week ago, the fates decreed that I was to fall into a bit of extra cash. I had been doing a ton of research on the PM series of pistols, read reviews, watched videos, lit candles...

I decided upon the PM45, but to my chagrin, could not find any in stock, anywhere. I chanced to run into an old friend, who happens to be an FFL dealer and he said he would locate one for me. The next day, he rang me and informed me that he located five PM45s but would need cash in hand before making the order. Before I could get to his house, all five pistols had sold, all five. Dejected, I returned home and posted an ad on a local website, "Want to Buy, Kahr PM45". I did not expect anyone to answer my ad, for quite some time or ever.

Before I could whistle dixie, a fellow pmd me, letting me know that he had a PM45 he received in trade for another pistol, with only 50 rounds down her, with the warranty card. I will, for decency's sake, not mention the price, only because I got an obscenely good deal. We met, I paid, and went to a gun shop and bought a Hogue Handall Jr, went home and put the handle on.

Today I took her to the gun range and I shot 300 rounds, without one hiccup, without one failure to feed, without one failure to eject. It was bliss... The trigger is like butter, the recoil is a non issue, and this pistol is a little nail driver. Needless to say, I'm happier than a pig in, well, you know...

My search is over. I plan on putting XS big dot sights on her and picking up a good IWB, perhaps a Crossbreed. All is good in my world.

Damn I like happy stories with happy endings.
I just replaced my poor man innertube with the handall jr tonight and really like the feel. I already got the XS Big Dots (thanks once again ryoung).
Glad your a happy camper and you've made my day with this positive and enjoyable report.

Well, dang! It looks like we can't help you that much... no problems! Fantastic!
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your best compact .45 in the world.
Mine has had a few problems but I hope to get it back shortly and test it again. Hopefully, mine will finally be error free.
Check out the care and lubing info in Kahr-Tech... helpful stuff.

Sounds like there's a bull market in Kahrs. Good reason for it. That monster extractor wins a lot of hearts over time, especially in .45 I say.

Vlazio, when I find a handgun that I bond with as it seems you have with your PM45,the phrase I use is that it makes my britches stick out in front.Heartiest congratulations.Keep us informed on your ongoing love affair with it.We don`t get tired of hearing success stories.

Just a thought about IWB selection. The PM45 is a small gun and before locking in on one holster, you might take a look at other options like I link to in my signature. There is less chatter about them in the forum but a lot of shooters like them. Just another option.

VLAZLO, congrats on your purchase. Sounds like you love your PM45 as much as I do mine. The more you shoot it, the more you'll appreciate it. Good LUCK!
